Positive things so we don't all get depressed form the negative things in life.

Here is a place to discuss good things/things you are grateful for(not just on Thanksgiving) so that we don't get caught up on negative things and depressed.

Man... I'm glad glasses exist though, I like proper eyesight.

with all the suffering in life, remember, eventually you will die.

While this is most certainly true, there are the things in life that allow us to enjoy our time here. Allow those to be what you focus on. :)

maybe i don't get positivity for positivity's sake.

No one is asking for anyone to be positive for the sake of being positive. But the human mind is influenced by what we feed it. If we feed our mind with a steady diet of negativity and futility, we can expect to have passively negative feedback. As someone who has to deal with PTSD, severe depression, and anxiety, I have to remind myself that life is more about the journey and the scenery around us than about the road ahead of us. Yes, sometimes we simply have to roll down the window and "moo" at the cows as we drive past. It's not about being positive, but it is about making an effort to enjoy the ride of life.

Well, I'm positive that my grilled ham and cheese was delicious.

With the bread being home baked, I am sure it was!

I was at the Sherwood Forest Faire yesterday. Fun time! But what I am honestly blown away by was one of the Washing Well Wenches. Her name is Cookie. She is by far one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Daphne is pretty awesome too! So, the night before last a line of thunderstorms rolled across central Texas. One side effect was humidity. A LOT of it. After the WWW first show I walked up to Cookie to give her a tip and complement her performance. I had met with and talked with her 2 weeks prior and she remembered me which is why I think I got a hug from her. The first one was just an arm wrapped around my shoulder as she was on an elevated platform. She suddenly realized she had gotten me a bit wet as she was soaked from jumping into the wash basin. She apologized for getting me wet, I said it felt good as I was hot. She then asked if I wanted another hug, of course I said yes, she then jumped on me wrapping her arms and legs around me. Now, two things, one it felt great as she helped me cool down and two it may have set up what happened at the 2nd show. See its a water show of sorts (look up the Washing Well Wenches on youtube or their website, you wont be disappointed) and they fling water all over. I was seated front row as I had requested to see a certain variation of their show I had seen online but didnt see 2 weeks ago or yesterdays first show (I had asked Cookie about that version and she took me to see Daphne where Cookie said to Daphne about my request, was beyond cool they performed it for me during show two) and during show two it felt like they had spoken with each other between shows as I got far wetter that time. Once Daphne as part of the show after introducing Mr. Wettums she walked past me with soaking wet “laundry” and arced past me causing my right shoulder and arm to get drenched.
It felt awesome to know that Cookie (she hugged me again after the second show after asking if I wanted to cool down again) and Daphne tried to take steps (Cookie for 100% certain, Daphne im 80% certain) to help an audience member cool down in Texas humidity both after each show and during. A positive memory that was so desperately needed when so so much in my world is a raging out of control dumpster fire.

I mean come on here, Cookie knows me next to nothing and was so kind caring and compassionate, so much so Id be hard pressed to find other performers or people in general to go so far to be so kind to a stranger. If that isnt positive I give up!

Saturday looked like the weather wasn't going to be great.

They kinda say that missing in Sherwood Forest is bad.

Saturday looked like the weather wasn't going to be great.

I was there from 0830 until about 1615 on the 15th (this past saturday) and it was about 78-79 (real feel of about 92-95) with about 75-80% humidity. Im going back again this coming Saturday. From what I can see its going to be great weather. From my Accu Weather for Circle D-KC Estates (im guessing the legal name for the land, as thats what my weather app pinged as when I was at the Washing Well Stage prior to the 1pm show on April 1, so yup this coming Saturday will be trip 3 and the faires final saturday) the predicted weather: 69 for the high, sunny to partly cloudy, breezy and pleasant with a 6% rain chance. So if your wanting to try to go to Sherwood Forest Faire this coming Saturday looks optimal.

Wow.  The weather app I was looking at was saying it was going to be 89 and rain most of the day.

I've got a 6:00 AM flight next Monday, so I'm not going to make it, but the weather does sound pretty nice.

We have a group that does TRF every year.  I've been trying to get them to go to SFF, though.

Im looking forward to going to TRF this fall, especially doing Kings Feast. I last did TRF/KF was fall 2000. If you want to help convince your group to do SFF have them check out this video I found the other day:
