  1. One is oxygenated and the other is future oxygenated. In all seriousness though, the main difference would be in the awesome IVA's that Nertea does. Lots of holographic screens. But ultimately it would have to be larger has than what is provided for in the NFT mods. The largest SSPX rotational habitats would basically be the smallest of what I'd expect, but the rotational habitats would be rings that allowed for command, labs, greenhouses etc as well. The SSPX ones are really just kerbal storage from memory. 20 metre's across. Also, i wonder if FFT habitats would be a kerbal sized Babylon 5 or Rama. A large rotating cylinder that was open green space, 20 metre's across, wonderfully massive so that only the biggest of FFT engines feasibly would move it, or constructed in situ. But that I'd only my thoughts. For clarity I'm not asking or expecting any habitats in FFT primarily as IVAs take so much work, and Nertea is a perfectionist and his workload is already huge, for which we benefit.
  2. @Souptime you can also use kerbalism but the science changes are quite marked. Peace.
  3. You could keep a spare kerbal on the inside to look out the window. Another option would be to use hullcamVDS cameras clipped inside a pod. Also jsi advanced transparent mods to make some mods show the iva while you are outside. Doesn't work for everything though. Peace.
  4. @benjee10 does the camera provide its own image as in hullcamVDS?
  5. More like a pancake. But a variation could be an orbital version. Who's to say it isn't built it the bedrock and goes DOWN. Peace.
  6. This allows me to go and do this: This is not my mission - a quick google search found it here https://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/1gkwjt/the_full_story_of_the_mun_landing_gif/ Thanks for the awesome props!
  7. A large [massive] arcology type part. Possibly a cylinder on a planet. Heavy. With stablalising legs to keep it level. With an attachment node for a waiting room for kerbals to get in and out. IVA not requite.
  8. Simplex Resources also adds resources. HydrateOre, NaturalOre, RareOre, and Saturate. Along with MetalParts, CustomParts for extraplanetary launchpad Along with Consumables, OrganicSlurry, Air and BadAir for Kerbalism Simplex.
  9. Looks good. One option would be to use the CRP resources if you don't want this to be standalone. Also, if you have two resources, why not simulate mass loss due to energy being generated (negligable) or neutron loss? Reduce the mass of the part to compensate. Peace.
  10. Possibly not. But if you go to SpaceDock you will be able to download ealier 1.8.1 compatable versions. Give it a go and see!
  11. Who would have thunked how awesome this is. I really do like the physics thing - why has this not been done before? Great work thank you! Peace.
  12. Hi all, A big update just dropped. Now with OPM, JNSQ and KSRSS support! Peace.
  13. And yes... generally Simplex mods support others internally. You don't have to do anything. Thanks for confirming!
  14. Hi @Poodmund, I'm throwing together configs for OPM for Simplex Resources Support . One thing I haven't been able to gather is whether the three 'gaseous' planets have a surface or not, or are they like Jool which means you can't land. I ask this because their Kopernicus cfg files have a landed science multiplier, so I wasn't sure. Thanks! Peace.
  15. Nope. I tried that first. It'd be great if they did though.
  16. Do you have Community Resource Pack installed?
  17. Doh! Thank you! That is much appreciated. I missed it first and second round. Must have been looking for the wrong thing. Peace.
  18. Is it possible to MM patch the docking nodes to snap lock in. At 90 degrees or 45 degrees? Peace.
  19. I guess Keriden Dynamics is the closest you'll get to stockalike. Apparently it still mostly works.
  20. Stock a like people should go for Simple Construction. That would make the most sense right?
  21. Funnily enough I was playing around with possibly of updating Kerbalism Simplex and found some config's that use it in KerbalismConfig. Yes for RTGs.
  22. It was a long time ago that SSPXR was released. I seem to remember that the big move from Expansion to redux was save breaking, file names and node positions too I'm guessing. If you don't want the challenge of relaunching again may I suggest Hyperedit or the stock alt-F12 menu to place a revised station into orbit. Peace.
  23. Probably. I scale back my engines to launch from the surface of air rated worlds using a patch like this: @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleEngines*]] { @MODULE[ModuleEngines*] { @atmosphereCurve { @key[1, ] *= 1 @key,1[1, ] *= .7 @key,2[1, ] *= .35 } } } Which is the patch included with the Simplex TechTree (but not Tetrix). This means vacuum ISP for all engines is the same as stock, but at sea level on Kerbin they are at 70% powerful and efficient. You really need a multi stage rocket to launch, but to get anywhere once in orbit is the same. No idea how this affects Laythe. Duna is still easy. Eve becomes an even worse nightmare. Peace.
  24. Yes that is correct. You can't use the hitchhiker on its own, you need to 'kit out' your craft. They need a command pod with ECLSS (scrubbers and such) too. Peace.
