One of my favorite mods of all time. I still play it a lot, on KSP 1.3.1, runs lovely.

Best option at the moment would be to install an existing pack that you dont know yet, and use the mod research bodies for that exploration feeling. I did it once with GPP and it was very nice.

RSS RO 100T Payload Two Stage to Orbit Fully Recovered.
Dafni replied to iAMtheWALRUS's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Amazing job, man! Well done. Too bad about the stutters and frames, but what can you do? Craft and skripts worked perfect. Quite an intense landing of the orbiter too. Nice one, I like it a lot. Plus kuods for playing this amazing planet pack too! -
Alternative communications network design - Thoughts?
Dafni replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Discussion
After finding the mod StationKeeping I went for circular orbits with evenly spaced sats again, it satisfies my OCD the best. -
I believe you are looking for Principia

RIP Princess Buttlerfly Golden Rose (a cat) (named by my 5 YO)
Dafni replied to tater's topic in The Lounge
I can relate. Sole reason I always vote against a pet (but never prevented me from bonding to them like to a human) All said and done it is a valuable lesson about the momentariness of life - a painful one, one that sticks. Cherish all life around you, every day. I feel for you and your daughter. Your kids look very lovely and cute in that first picture. Thanks for sharing. -

Cargo Airdrops with the MK3

@XLjedi I liked your post, but obviously I dont like what you said. Quite the opposite. It breaks my heart. I wish so hard this would get fixed for good. -
I am still happily playing RSS on KSP 1.3.1 and would like to take the opportunity here to express my gratitude to all involved parties, RSS crew all the way back, the RSSVE people, just all involved individuals. It is a great set of mods and it still gives me tons and tons of entertainment.

@NorthernDevo kudos on taking the plunge into a hard play-through. My advise is to keep reverts active though, for those occasions when the game decides to funk you up. Believe me, sooner or later you'll be glad. Nothing worse than loosing an orange suit to some stupid glitch way into a nice play-through.

Add a centrifuge habitat in the next update
Dafni replied to Rover 6428's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
True. They should just hire him, or buy his stuff. Or better yet, all SSPXR appreciators drop some change in Nerteas hat! I agree with you on your point above @steve_v, about the needlessness of a centrifuge in a stock environment. But I still like to use Nerteas centrifuges (even though I use no mods that would actually justify their use) just because they look so good.- 33 replies

How do Kerbals survive the perils of extended space travel?
Dafni replied to Xavven's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wow. Just wow. Never thought about it like that, but it makes a lot of sense now In my own KSP universe, the Kerbals live off of electricity (dont need food or water), can hibernate at will (when I warp the time forward), actually feel more at home in micro-gravity than on the surface of a planet (hence the countless and otherwise pointless stations orbiting everywhere) and get sick by the color purple (you guess it ). -

Dafni replied to Rover 6428's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
We must not have seen the same parts then. In my humble opinion SSPXR blends into the stock game so well I could forget they come from a mod, plus the IVAs are the best ones I have seen in KSP so far. All the details etc, gotta love Nerteas work.- 33 replies

Best KSP RO/RSS version
Dafni replied to VoidCosmos's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
You are welcome. Let us know how it works out for you. I think people are still using 1.2.2 because they have all the mods that they want there. It is entirely possible that one of your favorite mods does not exist for a certain version of KSP. Or maybe it it because of some RO thing that I am not aware of. Again sorry for my ignorance there. Personally I would advise you to use 1.3.1 still. For me the performance increase that 1.3 brings over 1.2 is worth way more than any abandoned mod could ever be. Plus I quite like the stock comnet implementation. Another tipp: CKAN works nice for modding up your 1.3.1 - IIRC it has more than 800 mods for that version of KSP. cheers Daf -
Best KSP RO/RSS version
Dafni replied to VoidCosmos's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I can tell you what you need for a nice RSS experience, complete with the eyecandies: KSP 1.3.1 RSS 13.1 Kopernicus 1.3.1-7 Module Manager 3.0.4 RSSVE 1.3.1-6 EVE 1.2.2-1 Scatterer 0.0320b no idea in the RO stuff though, sorry -
The memory stutters are still there for me, bone stock install. And the eyesore z-fighting too, still, on craft that looked perfectly fine before.

What's your favorite mods for building stuff?
Dafni replied to Actually_New_KSP_Player's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Look at Editor Extension Redux, for some editor quality of life improvements. The mod Scott used to change the size of parts was most probably Tweakscale. As for parts mods, well, there are many many nice ones out there. Depends what you want, for example american stuff or russian stuff, bases or stations etc. cheers Daf -
@ondrafialkaIts easy, just copy your game out of the steam folder into whatever directory you want, and play this. Only use the steam install to get the fresh versions. Update as YOU please. Nothing wrong with playing "outdated" versions until your mods catch up. I believe most people here do it like this. Find your steam KSP on your harddrive under steam/steamapps/commom/KerbalSpaceProgram - just copy the whole content from this folder to anywhere you like, and run the game by clicking the KSP64.exe in that folder. Hope this helps Daf

Have to admit it looks pretty nice. Definitely gonna add this to my steam games, even though it might be 2020 before I get a chance to dive into it. Always good to support space sim devs.

Oh sorry, I did miss the 1.5.1 bit. I just assumed it was about 1.6 That said, the Konstruction ports worked fine for me in 1.5.1 too - I only used the ports though, trimmed off everything else. Did only use them once or twice on that install, but never got crashes. There must be something wrong with your install.

Oh, most definitely. Motorcycle wheels are relatively heavy and spin at decent rates too. The effect is even noticeable on some bicycles (think downhill bikes when you jump - you feel the slight resistance in mid air when you turn the handlebar when the front wheel is freewheeling fast enough) Definitely real. Imagine an RC monster truck going full pelt over a jump, airborne for what feels like seconds - if you let the wheels just coast, it flies nice and straight for half of its arc - then you hit the brakes and the truck does a quick front flip before landing. (just dont forget to release the brakes before you land) Done it myself a million times, I'm sure you'll find plenty of youtube clips. The nice thing about RC cars: you dont have to sit in them! LOL
