Finally picked a wallpaper for my new laptop. Was hoping to find a neat picture of Endeavor, but everything I liked was either Discovery or Atlantis, or too small. We've got this set on the shipping computer at work: I really like this art style. The whole nature-taking-over-technology thing.

@DerekL1963 I think you misquoted me there

Incorrect. There were bug fixes with 1.4.1, most notable of which is the IVA fix for the Mk 1-3 command pod. So it is a patch. Just because 1.4.1 and MH were released at the same time, doesn't make them the same thing. You can install 1.4.1 without getting Making History. The risk of MH affecting mods if no different than that of other mods affecting your mods. By your logic all mod makers should just stop development completely, because of the tiny chance of an incompatibility. I suggest you start actually reading the available information about 1.4.1 and Making History before you continue to insist that your information is correct.
-
No it isn't. 1.4.1is a patched update of 1.4. MH is a completely optional DLC that requires 1.4 to install. You can get 1.4.1 without Making History.
-
Yes, but it requires 1.4, and I think they mean they're waiting to upgrade from a pre-1.4 version. No sense in buying MH if you're sticking to 1.3.1 or earlier.

Literally the only thing I miss about Windows. Tons of graphics programs for Linux, but they're all trying too hard to be photoshop, and make drawing a simple line or circle a chore. Welcome!

Looking out the windows, Making History

Wait, you could do that before? IVA in command pods isn't useless? -
I'm.... legitimately unsure which side you're taunting me to...
-
Dipped into stock 1.4.1 again for a flight to play with the parachutes finally. I really think I'm sticking with 1.3.1 for awhile.
-
I threw KER into 1.4.1 and it seems to be working..

BRING BACK MK1-2 MODULE
Geonovast replied to Dr. Jeb's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
If you got it from the store. From what I understand, it's a bit of a hassle to get older versions from Steam, and GoG only provides the most recent version for download. Never depend on a download repository having what you want, just ask anyone who wanted old Linksys firmware starting a few years ago. For awhile, you could get nearly any firmware version for any device. Then one day, *poof*, gone. Googling for it pretty much just yields results with links to the download page that no longer exists. On a side note, the Mk 1-3 pod works just fine in 1.3.1 with the IVA patch.. -
Ok, it was TRR. Helmet is present in stock 1.3.1, and gone in stock 1.4.1 I don't see an option for it in either version.
-
You know, I didn't even think of it, but I have TRR. Lemme try stock...

BRING BACK MK1-2 MODULE
Geonovast replied to Dr. Jeb's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well if you have a dead battery and are miraculously pointing retrograde, all you have to it wait anyway, and you'll start pointing radial in, in which case, you can do the same method as pointing normal or antinormal. The pod's not going to stay retrograde with a dead battery. I agree that it should have a full RCS suite... not sure why they bothered to do it halfway, and the wrong half at that. Of course, you could always get out and push... -
BRING BACK MK1-2 MODULE
Geonovast replied to Dr. Jeb's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Easy, point the pod normal/antinormal, use the "sideways" translation to de-orbit, then point back retrograde. -
Depends on the pod. I'm in 1.3.1 right now. I threw Jeb in an Mk1 command pod, and he's not wearing a helmet.

totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
Geonovast replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
I started with 4, so going less I could feel a difference. 3 is alright, I don't think I ever actually tried a 2. I also thought 5 was ridiculous until I tried them (sorta on accident). I just can't let that 13 year old handle go, and for some reason... they change the handle. Oh, and tonight I finally watched Hidden Figures. -

I'd like to think I'm pretty open minded and progressive. I really don't care if you're a robot or not. Just don't try to sell me anything. -
Banned for being too real.

Geonovast replied to cersad's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
When you say you think they've finally caught up to 1.4, have you checked the threads themselves? You know Steam won't update your mods for you, right? I would go stock, verify it's not happening there, then go to each mod's thread. Verify it's reported as working in 1.4.1, then install the current release. Once the problem re-appears, you've found the culprit. I have a feeling you've got one or more outdated mods. I've played a bit of stock 1.4.1 in Linux Mint 18.3, and haven't had that problem.- 11 replies

I tried to giffify this, but for some reason the site I usually use didn't like the video. There's a pretty stupid rocket in the end of Archer Season 3, and I've decided to mostly replicate it. So I'm playing around with making large hinges with DockRotate and IR washers. You might notice that the altitude is going down rather fast. I didn't notice until I hit atmo that, despite F12ing my way into an 86km x 86km orbit, it had actually set my orbit to 86km x -597km. Last I checked, you can't cheat yourself sub-orbital on purpose.

You're asking a niche question about a niche mod. Yes, your question was moved to Add-on Discussions, but you were asked to take your question to the mod's thread itself. You're also providing VERY little information, not even close to what's requested. Whining that your under-informed, very niche question about a very niche situation wasn't magically answered in 14 hours is a pretty effective way to make everyone who can help you not want to. Nobody's paid to sit around and wait for you to halfway ask for help.
