  1. 3/10, car looks like a fish gasping for air.
  2. I don't think it's going to be on our end, I think there's something going on internal to the game. I have an i7-7700K with 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and I have the same problem. Hopefully it's something they've addressed in the upcoming 1.4 update. Welcome to the forum. Your English is a bit off but I can definitely understand you ;). It's way better than my German!
  3. IMO, docking is the hardest part of the game. It's daunting. It's difficult. At some point it will be downright stupid, because orbital mechanics go against all of our instincts. Then you'll get it. Then it'll be second nature, and soon you'll be wondering why it was ever a problem. ^ All that really matters. I still do a lot of things "wrong" because doing them "right" would be too tedious and take the fun out of the game.
  4. You can pretty much ignore anything that says "Tests have shown" if they don't cite the tests themselves. Especially if it's a company telling you that their product did the best.
  5. I waited a bit for 1.3.1 for my core set of mods to catch up, which didn't take long as most of the 1.3 versions already worked. Since I started with 1.3, I haven't seen any major version changes. I'll probably wait until my "necessary" mods are updated before switching to 1.4. Oh, I remember those days. 512MB daily cap. Freakishly slow. But, it wasn't metered between like 3 and 6 am. Any chance yours has a "free period?"
  6. I suppose you could start a career game, use the F12 menu to cheat yourself enough science to unlock the entire tech tree and enough funds to build whatever you need, then just upgrade the buildings at your leisure? Unless you need buildings up to a certain point for tech tree nodes... I wouldn't know, I don't do career.
  7. Don't use the HUDs, use the float boxes. Gives the readouts a background, much easier to read.
  8. I think the most important question that needs to be answered is: Do you want to come back?
  9. I haven't seen him in much else, and "Half A Life" is probably all I'd recognize him in. I've seen a good number of M*A*S*H episodes in passing, I'm sure I've seen him in it at some point. But still.
  10. Oh I know, I'm quite fond of the mod myself. In your screenshot they look more black than yellow... is that just the angle / lighting then?
  11. How'd you get the antenna panels that color?
  12. That's awesome! I've met a couple of Star Trek celebs, somewhere there's a picture of me when I was 5 or 6 with either George Takei or Jimmy Doohan. I know I've at at least seen her at a convention, but I have no idea if I ever spoke to her.
  13. SVE it was Honestly I don't remember why I uninstalled it. It's not like I don't have the hardware for it.
  14. So did I! (because you mentioned it) I may have to re-install SVE now since Kerbin just looks weird compared to the skybox.
  15. Disposed of this thing. It took three tries of ramming it into the surface of Minmus at ~300 m/s to finally get it to explode enough. Pics are after the first inpact, and orbital correction so it didn't leave Minmus' SOI and go back to a Kerbin orbit.
  16. Stock option / practice: One way to get it to stop auto loading kerbals is to make sure the root part of your ship is not a command pod. Try to get into a habit of the first part of your ship is an engine, fuel tank, battery, whatever. Just not a command pod. On existing ships, use the re-root tool to change the root part to something that's not a command pod. In my experience, this has really cut down on auto-loading. It also helps to have a probe core somewhere on the ship - even if you don't intent to use it. You can also supplement with this: Install the mod, and change this part of the config // We want to fill all command modules @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleCommand]:HAS[~minimumCrew[0]]] { MODULE { name = ModuleCrewAssignment defaultAssignment = Empty } } This has seemed to help as well. Although neither of these work 100%! It would be nice if it was a stock option, but this is what I got.
  17. That works too! For a parachute, you could do the flipped decoupler with an interstaged fairing.
  18. Attach the LES to the docking port in the VAB. Set up action group that decouples docking port and activates LES.
  19. Try jettisoning the heat shield. Or just wait until it gets to the bottom.
  20. Me too. I don't remember the last time I was in Oklahoma, Minnesota, or Chicago. I don't think I've ever been to Georgia. I know I have never been to Colorado or Massachusetts. I have definitely never been to Amsterdam, North Holland. I've also apparently been to a place called 47,8. I don't think that I like that it keeps track of my locations. I mean, what's the point when it's so horrifically inaccurate because of the way ISPs handle IP pool assignments anyway?
  21. I play sandbox almost exclusively. I've tried career a few times, never really seemed to enjoy. I equate playing this game with playing with Legos and K'nex as a kid - there were no rules. No mode is "for" anyone. You cannot cheat at this game, except by breaking rules you set for yourself. You cannot play this game wrong. Play it however you enjoy it. If you just like to throw rockets together and blast the little green guys into oblivion like I do, go for it! If you want the game to grind you to your very core to get the smallest task done, that's fine too. The freedom to do everything how and when you want is one of the biggest appeals of KSP.
  22. You don't need to start a new game, you can change your difficulty settings whenever you wish. At the KSC, hit Escape to bring up this menu, and click 'Settings'. Click on 'Difficulty Options' Then 'Advanced' And check 'Enable Extra Groundstations'
