Totally off-topic, but why exactly? -
How Low Into The Water Can You Go?

@Johnster_Space_Program I assume we're not allowed to use mods which add submarine parts? -
Mods in Stock
RealKerbal3x replied to Choctofliatrio2.0's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
They're already revamping parts though. So they're kind of, but not really, integrating Restock into the stock game. -
A nice start, @Kerballing (Got Dunked On)! Just a thing though, it's Wernher, not Werner

Holy dedication, @purpleivan! This is gonna take a lot of legs! Looking forward to more!

A really annoying thing happened to me at school this week. So, I was in English class on Thursday. On that day English is the last lesson before lunchtime. Just before the lesson ended, three boys came in. These were the usual 'troublemaker' types who you'll probably find in every school on Earth, and I think they came in because some of their mates were in my class. Naturally, my teacher got mad at them and sent them out. The problem was, now she wouldn't let us leave for lunch until we told her the three boys' names. Since I'd been in classes with these three on and off during the three and a half years that I'd been at my school, I knew their names, and I decided to do the right thing and tell the truth so that everyone could get out of the stuffy classroom and go and eat lunch. Afterwards, when I was quietly reading in the library, one of my friends came up to me and said that I should probably be careful, because now these three idiots were apparently very annoyed about me getting them in trouble - they were labelling me as a 'snitch'. Seriously? All I did was tell the truth, those three brought it upon themselves by coming into the classroom in the first place. I do not understand why, in 2019, that people want to avoid telling the truth about what someone did because they don't want to be labelled a 'snitch'.

Be sure to reverse the polarity of the neutrino combustor through the dilithium chamber.

Remember that nuclear reactors and RTGs are different things. Reactors split atoms to generate energy, while RTGs (radioisotope thermoelectric generators) simply use the heat from decaying plutonium-238 to produce power. If reactors were added to stock KSP, they'd need to work in a different way to the stock RTG - i.e, using a fuel and not just passively producing electric charge.

If there is music in the game, where are the music files?
RealKerbal3x replied to Chel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Weird. Well, maybe I should let someone with a bit more knowledge about KSP's innards post here now -
If there is music in the game, where are the music files?
RealKerbal3x replied to Chel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think they were actually made by Harvester (or one of the other early KSP devs) but for whatever reason they never made it in. I don't think a mod would put things into the Squad folder. -

RealKerbal3x replied to Chel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You could try looking in the Sounds folder...but in my 1.6.1 install that just has a load of sound effects never used in the game. -

RealKerbal3x replied to Chel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Might be because you're on a really old version of KSP (1.0.0 IIRC?) -

RealKerbal3x replied to Chel's topic in KSP1 Discussion
They're called squadcore.ksp and squadcorefx.ksp and are under KSP/GameData/Squad. I think they're locked to the average user, because they contain stuff like the UI and most of the code that probably wouldn't be a good idea to mess around with. -

@The_Cat_In_Space I believe they're locked away behind the asset bundles for who knows why. If you use Soundtrack Editor you can add your own music if you so desire. -
@MSA Try copying the direct link and just pasting it into your post. It should automatically embed.

Lovely! You, sir, have a knack for making stock craft that look nice and work well. +rep Also, I don't want to sound nagging, but I highly recommend that you update to 1.6.1. It won't break any of your mods and fixed quite a few important bugs in 1.6.0.

Out of curiosity, what's your craft naming scheme?
RealKerbal3x replied to a topic in KSP1 Discussion
I now have a consolidated naming scheme for my crewed deep space exploration vessels. It goes like this: DSEV <class>-<number> <name> So, you end up with something like this: DSEV Example-1 ‘Genericname’ -
What's Your Best KSP Mission?

I’ve barely touched the Mission Builder since March last year. Maybe I should give making a mission a go...- 5 replies

[Minimum KSP version - 1.11] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) v1.12
RealKerbal3x replied to IgorZ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, it just means you’re using the mod on a version that it wasn’t made for. KSP updates since 1.4 have broken hardly any mods. -
[Minimum KSP version - 1.12] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) v1.29
RealKerbal3x replied to IgorZ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
By the way, the struts in KAS are deprecated and will be removed soon. It's recently undergone a full overhaul to make it more realistic, and the EVA struts are not a particularly realistic thing. -

KAS works just fine in 1.6.1 for now, until @IgorZ gets around to making an update
