  1. L00ny Kerman learnt about C# coding and decided to make a custom KSP plugin that would spawn space junk in orbit above him. However, he forgot to set them at a proper orbital altitude and the space junk collided into him at orbital speed. revan kerman (why haven’t i changed my name yet) - Kopernicus planets
  2. do not destroy me for posting after such a long time, but this still hasn’t been pushed out of alpha yet sadly and there is already a better version of Linbol out with a very arguably better version of canyon too. Maybe I will revive this modpack by creating an 1x scale version of the new Canyon after a few years to give it a little bit more attention? idk.
  3. ngl this years worldwide heatwaves are the worst ever.
  4. LMP servers are a bit like that, due to small player base. Although it would be cool to have a few large servers as well.
  5. Big-S wings are absolutely overpowered. They store “free fuel” which does not add dry mass to the craft. Definitely would recommend. Great job.
  6. I was thinking that there is a decent possibility that the age gaps between the oldest forum member and the youngest could be as much as a hundred years. It creates a very wide mix of members from experienced professionals that play KSP with a lot of other knowledge to young people playing the game for fun (i guess)? it’s amazing how large this community is (especially the modding one) for a game of this size.
  7. I’ve decided that the homeworld body should get 2 small airless moons to make career immediately after reaching orbit more bearable. The innermost one is so close that it orbits in just 1.2 days and is quite small. It has been created and was mostly procedurally made with a little bit of manual colouring and heightmap deformity. The polar basins are flat areas where there is only Voronoi Craters and it is the area with the most geological activity. The moon is a light grey with a low albedo but there are some white sections as well. The second moon will look like Eeloo or enceladus and will be white in colour and orbit 3 times further out. It will be more of a challenge to reach due to inclination.
  8. I presume you came here from my RSS post. This may or may not work as support has been stopped long ago. Continue at your own risk!
  9. There is a RSS expansion mod for that. It’s kinda outdated, though.
  10. Real solar system. Note: this replaces the planets with real life planets, not the 10x versions of the Kerbol system planets. The Kerbol system planets are much easier compared to the RSS ones. Instead, you might want to download Rescale 10.6x which has already been suggested. The planets are quite different in JNSQ, it’s a lot more high quality but some planets are a lot harder and many moons of Jool are significantly smaller and easier.
  11. It really depends on what those 200 mods are. If you have like 200 tiny single-part mods, it’s unlikely your game will lag. Whereas if you have 200 visual/planet pack mods, they can take a serious hit on your performance if you can get them all to be compatible. Planet packs also take up a lot of RAM, especially the 8k ones with a lot of bodies.
  12. With the failure of that mission. I thought i'll do some more testing for my modpack while thinking of a solution. Here are some photos of Heyu, where the mission was headed: The sun setting beneath the mountains. The same image i took a few days ago. This was the same plane, but not the same sitting. Canyon still has some terrain glitches, but most of them are fixed. Canyon, by the way, is the third and furthest moon of the homeworld. It is the same size as Stock Kerbin and is the only atmospheric moon of the homeworld. Canyon still has some terrain glitches. Just a nice sunset.
  13. i actually started playing 5 years ago and on and off since, although i only got good recently, probably because I was too young to understand orbital mechanics until very recently (only figured out how gravity assists work a year ago). Welcome back!
  14. KSP2 already has mods. Quite a lot of them (100 or so) and they are coming out faster than KSP1 ones on spacedock.
  15. i think the usage of the word “book” is to signify education and also “paper thin”. or to signify that this thing literally has the technology of a book. Can it run KSP1? No. 0/10
  16. Floor 4023. A centrifuge floor. Every part of this floor except the lift is rotating fast. Surprised how AlamoVampire didn’t get 4000.
  17. Wow. Planes fly surprisingly well there, the low pressure is countered by high molecular mass and low gravities and temperatures.
  18. Is this gratian? It seems like it from the terrain and the name of the launch pad.
