The Sky is Not the Limit - UPDATE: NEW THREAD OUT!
TwoCalories replied to TwoCalories's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
@adsii1970, I think the TOTM title tag has disappeared again. When I encountered this before, you told me to tag you in the thread that had the issue, so that's what I'm doing.- 217 replies

Floor 4498: By now, we are getting pretty close to the stratosphere according to my calculations. It's getting a little hard to breathe up here...

Thanks for the update! It's unfortunate that the Kerbfleet save is lost, but it was still a wild ride while it lasted. Granted, I wasn't there when this thread was still active, since I joined the forums only a few months ago, but still. The amazing Kerbfleet trilogy is one of the things that inspired me to make my own works on the KSP forums. I wish that more people could discover gems like these on the KSP forums, like this, Plan Kappa, Emiko Station... I'd give your post a like, but the Daily Rep Limit has found another victim from these threads.

Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you wanna do!
-
Floor 4493: One roomba cleaning up the endless fur off the ground.
-
Floor 4490: Even more kittens and puppies. There's enough in that one Floor for every human on earth to have a dog or cat.
-
Floor 4488: The whole building collapsed, leaving us at what would have been Floor 1 until a giant mouse cursor appeared in the air. That cursor belonged to the all-powerful, overwatching beings known as the Mods and they correct the floor number to keep the game on track.

@JoE_BoT, remember to recite the regular phrase before the spoiler! *** Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!

A DIRECT Transition - If Jupiter DIRECT Took to the Skies
TwoCalories replied to Toaster355's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I don't think you should restart the whole thing. I think a lot of us were looking forward to Orion x Freedom, and besides, it's an alternate history! You should have some fun with it, and since DIRECT never happened, you could take a few artistic liberties here and there, I think.- 83 replies

The Everyday Kerbal's Rocketry Vending Machine
TwoCalories replied to Kimera Industries's topic in KSP Fan Works
Here's my go at it: Regolith Bars! (The "!" is part of the title) Similar to granola bars, but probably more of a sweet snack then an energy snack. A mix of nuts, oats, puffed rice, and chocolate chips with the bottom coated in a flavored dip colored to look like different planets that have regolith. No spacesuit damage, guaranteed! -
Have you ever reread the Kerbfleet series and looked for the first time characters appear? I found Kenlie's first appearance (the failed asteroid tug) and Kurt's first appearance (a crew roster photo).

The Sky is Not the Limit - UPDATE: NEW THREAD OUT!
TwoCalories replied to TwoCalories's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I'm not sure if any of you notice, but I do edits to previous chapters behind the scenes sometimes. I just finished revamping the first chapter, particularly the part explaining the Great Kerbin War. I highly recommend you read Chapter One again, and tell me what you think.- 217 replies

Tree of Reports - GoldForest's missions and projects.
TwoCalories replied to GoldForest's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I think it's fair to just assemble it all in the VAB and just cheat it into orbit. You've already shown you can do it, and it's not your fault a mod rendered the station (or the whole game for that matter). -
Things that NASA never said at a press conference.

"The SpaceX Falcon 9 has reached orbit." "Yes, the entire thing. We made some changes to our routine. In a few minutes, the booster will deorbit and reenter with no heat shield and touch down with parachutes." *** "Update: the booster landed successfully, but the landing legs bounced, and the rocket fell over, smashing into the KSC's Admin Facility. No one was harmed, but the building was destroyed. We will keep you updated as the situation progresses." -

Woah. Ok, I've got a few things I want to ask, if that's alright. What biome is Munar Outpost Lycoris in? What mods did you use to make the base modules? How did you get the modules to the Mun? What did you do to make it not Kraken bait? That was quite a bit, but I'm just curious, since I'm looking to launch my own Mun base sometime in the foreseeable future.
