  1. Interesting. There is so much to this game that it is impossible to say exactly what is the hardest thing to do. It depends on the builder and the thing being built.
  2. Best is one of those odd words isn't it? I cannot really quantify it in KSP but in terms of compactness, design and creativity my 'best' Mun lander has got to be my Stock LM, part of my Apollo Saturn V: Or the very first craft I ever uploaded. It had over 7000 downloads on the old spaceport! I have made a million Mun landers but those are my faves.
  3. Ladder glitches still work me thinks. Place ladder with a part above it so it stops the kerbal climbing up it. The force of the Kerbal pushing on the part causes the lift. Try it!
  4. Dude, this thing doesn't take off from kerbin! Any ion craft with a few fuel tanks will make it to mun or minmus from kerbin orbit! Just try it man, it won't be hard, I promise.
  5. Make one dude! Its like 10/20 parts. Easy peezy.
  6. This is a very impressive collection of craft man! So much variety!
  7. Yeah I saw those, I think the radiators look better alone though. They always seem a bit low, the real OMS pods are really huge on the shuttle. I would go so far as to say the OMS pods I made are the best looking I have ever seen here. Yup, I'm proud of them! And don't we all think this of out own stuff..? Thanks for the tip though!
  8. Ok folks, Here is something truly in the spirit of this thread. Something I thought I would never show. My WIP Space shuttle. Allow me to share why I believed it would never been seen. Firstly I have never been a big fan of shuttles and seeing as I had never made one I wanted to try my hand. It was coming together very nicely, I wanted to make it a bit special and make a stock first, a working Canadarm. This I did. After finishing the arm and orbital and deorbital/landing test, also successful, I discovered that @sgt_flyer was working on a stock canadarm for @selfish_memes shuttle. His was a better arm than this one and my excuse is he was only working on the arm. The arm can release payloads up and out and clear of the shuttle and also pick up satellites and dock them back into the shuttle bay. Each part is a separate craft held together with of course my tiny thermo hinges. Each one is controlled independently. I also really wanted to go all out with the look of the shuttle so I painstakingly recreated the exact shape of the craft. Anyway, I decided to focus 100per cent on just my main projects, constellation mainly so this sat on the back burner. I have the main tank and boosters made for it, but it still needs work, work that is going into bigger, better, harder builds. I came across these pics when putting together an album for my completed curiosity rebuild and thought I would share them with you folks. More pics in the spoiler.
  9. I hope so too mate! Keep up the good work.
  10. That does not look easy to balance, so kudos! It's a great looking little shuttle!
  11. Glad to hear it. You have wayyy too much free time dude..
  12. So did you send this to Squad? Is @JPLRepo around? This is a very nice example of bearing uses.
  13. LOL I do see what you mean, although you must not have flown many SSTOs these days. Getting them up is so easy now. Huh? Retires at setting SAS and sitting back letting it fly into orbit? As what you are saying implies input after take off which may imply an inefficient ascent if so. If not, what's to try? I don't follow your SAS comments, go to bed, you are incoherent.
  14. LOL, at no point in the OP did he say it practically flies itself to orbit.. Not bad for a first attempt dude. It's ugly as hell though, but most first SSTOs are! I'm happy to see you are starting to actually build flying stuff rather that things that have to be hyper edited into orbit.
  15. I think this deserves a rebuild. Someone contacted me recently-ish asking if they could try to remake it but said it was beyond their abilities so now i have finished my curiosity rebuild and video for it and with constellation nearing completion, it's about time! I forgot how cute it was, thanks for reminding me @Cupcake...
  16. It is indeed cute, but if your gunna clip the hell out of it it could definitely be smaller. I was instantly reminded of my micro Apollo craft I made a year ago! Now that was clipped small. Nice work dude!
  17. I've made a few, my best remains hidden for now, part of my upcoming constellation pack rebuild. Just make sure the COM and COT line up. Also that fuel drains in a manner that does not cause those two things to deviate from one another.
  18. The irony of repping that statement is, just, too, much!
  19. Yup, I saw it's an option, and understand. Thanks I got it working now.
