  1. OK, you have this all backwards. First off, indigenous means native. Mods are not indigenous to the game. Could have been a simple typo (I do these types all the time), so I'll let this one slide. ;D Seciondly, a part is a part is a part. Just because it's a mod or stock, the game still has to load the assets. Mods, depending on how they are implemented, may or may not add additional overhead compared to a comparable stock part. If we add a new habitat part to the stock game, it's inclusion will increase the stress on the game, as it will take up memory and required to be loaded just like any other part.
  2. There has been some discussion in the past about having specialized kerbals. A base kerbal would have a minimal set of skills, and as they earn XP, they would also earn training points. You use these points to earn new skills, be it in the Piloting, Engineering, or Sciencing department. This would allow for a pretty nice array of different types of kerbals.
  3. There is also a great hazard caused by cars traveling less than the flow of the surrounding traffic. It creates a bottle neck in the traffic flow and can catch some drivers unaware, as other try to maneuver around the rolling obstruction. I'd be ok with limiters on younger drivers' cars, as long as they weren't allowed on roads that were more than the limiters' setting.
  4. Have you tried making it -1? if it's checking if the pressure is greater than the minpressure, and they are both set to zero, it will fail. If it's checking if it's greater than or equal to......
  5. Depending on how you save it to your Iphone, it might still require Itunes to do this. A usb wifi dongle is only a few bucks these days. Nope, it's letting the wife run off with the dog and the internet.

Oh god.... I'm a tool. Order of operations!!!!
  7. Not only is this cost covering SQUAD/TTi's costs, but they also had to hire an outside company to make the port to the consoles, so it has to pay their cost too. Plus I believe Sony/MS also require licensing fees to publish a game on their systems. So the Console versions are supposed to cost a bit more. And given how much love SQUAD has actually given the console version, you should feel lucky it even exists. (Note, that is not an excuse for how buggy it is, just that it seems like it wasn't worth the effort to do it at all).
  8. Well, that's because a sensible design for a rover wouldn't include a huge blocky part that will force your rover to roll over. The COM is there for a reason, as the part is some size, and the mass is located somewhere within the part. Yes we have engines with weird COM's, but those are done for a very reasonable reason. Take a look this poorly designed rover: There's no way such a design can handle turns, as it's COM is way too high. First time it tries to take a corner, it will definitely..... oh wait.... these are actually quite widely used, because the people operating it can account for this center of mass being higher, and drive appropriately. So while there are times I wouldn't mind having this tool, it would definately be overpowered and cheaty to me. If my COM is way too high for a rover, I just redesign it so it's not. I also understand the limits of the rovers I have made, and drive them in a safe manner.
  9. I'm not on my normal computer, so I don't have the link handy, nor do I remember the name of the mod, but there is a mod that will ease your landed bases and rovers into existence when loading them. World Stabilizer I think?

Sigh.... drunk and grumpy on christmas, and you have me redo the entire score board..... thanks! ;D Wait.. time out @Green Baron. How does 10 times the sum of any two integers result in a number that isn't a multiple of 10???
  11. Yeah, it should have nothing to do with Itunes, but with the phone itself. You may have to call up your phone service provider and have them add that to your service plan, and that will enable it. It will create a wifi hotspot that you can connect any device to the internet.
  12. Well, I don't have my game open to check, but if you read the description, it says stuff about fuel flow, and you did get the fuel lines part. I can't even tell what the other part is you got, but if you click on it, it will give you a description. There might not be any tanks in that tech level....
  13. The KIS/KAS mods will let you EVA over to them and remove them manually....... It's probably the least cheaty way to do it, as it's pretty much what NASA would try first, try to fix the thing we got rather than send up a new one. You might have to send up a repair mission to send up the wrench you need, but I'm pretty sure there's a way to cheat one into the the inventory if needed.
  14. Aziz.... you've been here long enough to realize that's a silly question. We're weird and do things just because we can. So building a 500 part base as the new annex to the R&D building is easily within the mental capacity of our playerbase.
  15. I've tried it a couple times, back in the .20's like you, but couldn't get used to it either. But now that I'm looking at it, without the pressure of imminent death and destruction looming.... is that an alignment indicator, or a control input indicator?

Didnt like any pics, so.... 1109.... Lets try not to add numbers that may be confusing, we've already had one screw up that was luckily caught.
  17. You then realize the rest of the human population has opposable thumbs and can deal with new door latches without getting upset over them. I wish for peace on earth.
  18. Not only that, but some of the mega contracts don't appear that often, so you just might have to accept one and sit on it till you can do it.
  19. How is this not a solution? It usually recommended to launch directly from the .exe. It seems to me your steam launcher is the issue, and not KSP. If playing it directly from a shortcut on your desktop is the solution, then do that....
  20. There is a history of third party launchers screwing up the files of KSP, causing a variety of issues including #autoloc errors. Ok, I see we've tried the nuclear option..... why not just install a fresh copy of KSP to the local machine, and play it from there?
  21. That's quite a stretch, since it was fully released some time ago.

Woot! Four digit primes! Grats to @Green Baron for the bonus points on breaking that threshold! Some interesting stuff on primes: Looking ahead at the data, there seems to be a couple large gaps coming up! Going to shake up the leaderboard.... And onto the prime...
  23. Absolutely not. There would be dual Kons at the same time, one at the Cape, and the other at Baikonur, for the eastern Hemisphere people. Although, I would imagine the tourist scene is a little better in Florida than Kazakhstan.
  24. I play on low settings, and I thought the mere existence of that hill was the problem. In my game, the runway is up above the terrain to the north, with the mountain continuing to rise to the south.
