  1. That is definitely true for airfields, but the KSC is more than just an airfield. if you look at maps of the actual Kennedy Space Center you will find there's a whole lot of apparently random buildings and roads and things all over the place. Of course, in the real KSC, the VAB and the launch pad are miles apart.
  2. So many exciting things going on in here! Is the new KerbinSide planned to be compatible with KSC++ like the previous version was? It seems to me that the new taxiways are in the same place as some of the hangars. I won't mind if the new version of KS is better than KSC++ though. @Eskandare
  3. Alternatively, @Angel-125 would it be possible to disable the part reliability portion of BARIS when the ScrapYard based mod Oh Scrap! is involved? It seems like the current version of turning off part failures in the menu turns off the entire mod. I still want to use the rest of BARIS, but I'd like to use Oh Scrap for the part failures and reliability.
  4. I'm sorry to hear about your computer woes! With as many irons as you have in the fire, juggling so many mod updates is bound to take a while.
  5. Fantastic! Soon my 1.4.1 career save will begin!
  6. I'm working on "updating" Unmanned Before Manned to 1.4.1 through my mod UBM Extended. I've already got the 1.4.1 parts ready, and I'm working on balancing the Making History parts now. I am respecting the ARR license by Yemo as none of his code is being changed or used in the new configs, and UBM Extended requires Unmanned Before Manned. After I'm done with that, I might take a look at making module manager configs to get the other SETI mods working.
  7. I have Windows 7 and I close all other programs when I start my big install, so it's usually using around 2GB when I start up KSP. Unfortunately, 8GB is all this computer can handle.
  8. Then it's probably my 8GB of RAM holding me back. The computer is 7 years old, and while it was great for a laptop in 2011, it's not strong these days. Although I'll check the logs to see if there's anything interesting going on. Once I have time.
  9. My next computer will definitely have an SSD for KSP.
  10. It takes 45 minutes from double-click to main menu for my 1.3.1 modded install.
  11. A small update: I'm currently working on configs to update Unmanned Before Manned to 1.4.1 and the Making History DLC. Right now, I'm working on balancing the RK-7 against early LV-series rockets, and making it upgradable throughout the Tech Tree, just as the RD-107 has gone through many upgrades in history.
  12. I'm doing some nice ASET ones in Warbird Cockpits. They are slowly coming along, however, because I'm also doing stock cockpits, and cockpits from other mods I love. Try my UBM Extended config for APP, mod linked in my signature. It works with or without UBM, and creates a new tech branch with the early props coming off of Stability.
  13. Oh right, I edited that model to point forward when I added the ability to adjust the height of seats. That will be fixed in 0.3. Just in the nick of time at the end of Spring Break, I've finished placing props in the mk2 Inline! There are over 750 of them, almost as much as in the ALCOR itself. IMGUR ALBUM (with descriptions) It runs a little slow on my computer, depending on how many props are visible at once. But I pretty much run a potato, so I would love to hear how it works on other machines, and whether or not it seems to be CPU or GPU limited.
  14. I didn't mean my statement to be remonstrative, only informational. It was newly present in the version released for 1.4, yes.
  15. @linuxgurugamer CustomBarnKit does have the option to give thr pilotable chutes to all Kerbals regardless of experience. Doing this was the first thing I did upon downloading. It would be neat to have unsteerable chutes at level 0-2 in career mode, or requiring a certain number of basic jumps before qualifying for the controlled parachute, but I understand if that's more coding than you'd really like to do. But as for the rest of the functionality of this mod, I am in favor of it's continuation.
  16. Hello, @luizopiloto, were you still planning to make the glass cockpit version of the Mk3? I'm almost done with the Mk2 Inline for Warbird Cockpits, and I was thinking of tackling the Mk3 shuttle next - with the Mid Deck IVA version. Not sure whether to go 80s or 2000s with it though.
  17. I assume this means the Barnstorming the Tool Shed and Coast Gaurd contracts are gone? Those were my favorites, but I can understand if they were particularly hard to keep working.
  18. @MOARdV, the Target menu that comes with RPM doesn't let me target planes. They don't show up on the list of targetable craft, and there is no filter option to make them targetable.
  19. I've been in mod communities where some mods just happened to require the DLC, and that's just how it is. Maybe something like that would be possible. Basic, non spawning missions without the DLC, and advanced missions with spawned craft that require the DLC.
  20. @Daelkyr, if you have a version of your IVA model without the seats and controls built in, I could make a functional ASET version of this mod for you.
  21. Dang, dmagic, I wish Squad would pay you some legit money to put all your UI mods into stock KSP.
  22. Congratulations on your Spacedock release! You've come a long way from where you started, and it has been great to see and benefit from all your hard work.
