  1. I can't help with CKAN, but if you go into Gamedata and remove every folder except Squad and SquadExpansion (the first is the stock game, the second is all DLC) then your game should start in stock no problem.
  2. I don't see the big deal either way. I prefer it the way it is now though. Less parts in the list = better. .No opinion on a compact variant. Sure?
  3. I've thing I'm sure of: Kerbals could figure it out.
  4. Build your payload. Place a decoupler under it. Place the fairing base under the decoupler. It helps to use a fairing that is larger than the decoupler in cross section. Click up and around your payload, as if you are drawing the left or right side outline of the fairing in connect-the-dots fashion. Make sure you don't clip the fairing through your payload. To close the fairing, just put your mouse in the center of the axis line you've been connecting the dots up on.
  5. Whatever you call them they are not US dollars and your rocket does not cost 375,000 dollars. It costs 375,000 SOMETHINGS. Think of them as thousands of dollars, and your rocket costs 3.75 million. Think of them as Toyotas and your rocket costs 375,000 Toyotas. It literally doesn't matter, except you must have that much money to launch.
  6. I'm not going to enter this contest as I can't even make a normal SSTO (well, a normal plane SSTO) but I want to give more kudos than the "thumbs-up" allows for the name "Goliathud"
  7. Very doubtful, but it's likely (based on developer comments) that modding a Real Solar System may be easier in KSP2. As in, no Kopernicus-like mod required, just some config changes.
  8. The same way I verify that my ship is orbiting perfectly equatorially. Depending on how you define it, I: Don't Eyeball it. Seeing as I always get docked, I must be doing something correctly.
  9. Yes. MechJeb's autopilot was specifically written to tempt you into being a bad person. More seriously of course not, from our perspective. However, if you feel that way about your own play then there is really only one course of action.
  10. You may have misunderstood me. In 7+ years of KSP I've enjoyed driving a rover one time. That one time was on Eve.
  11. Loving it! Can't wait to see what you cobble together your crack team can produce!
  12. In general yes that would about me. Inn a specific case no it wouldn't. I think anyone smart enough to not abuse it would be smart enough to see the workaround.
  13. We need a catchy phrase like "no pics, no clicks" but about log files. No logs, no.... ...I got nothing.
  14. Remember W means "pitch forward" so if you have reaction wheels Minmus' low gravity may allow you to flip your rover forwards like a pancake. But yes IMO any world lighter than Ike, wheels are useless. I only ever really enjoyed driving a rover on Eve.
  15. One caveat, you sometimes have to be ridiculously close to the Science Jr (In particular) to take the data. They upped the range but there have been times when I had to stick my kerbal's head inside that thing to get the button in the part action window.
  16. That "transfer" isn't the option you want. You want to go EVA, then while controlling the EVA Kerbal, right click the thing you want to take data from and "take" it. Then you Kerbal is carrying that data. schlep it over to the storage unit, right click, and "store" it there. But it's far easier to dock and while controlling the ship, right click the storage unit and pull all data into it.
  17. I spent more time on this than it shows. Well the Minmus slopes are cool they make me think of mint ice cream. And Mun's craters can make landing fun If you don't laugh you might scream. Moho has a mohole, and Eve will hold you tight. And if you're on Eeloo, keep your Pub-Nuk close, to keep you warm throughout the night. I wish they all could be Kerbal Program Worlds (I wish they all could be Kerbal Program) I wish they all could be Kerbal Program Worlds Dres has endless asteroids, you'll never run out of ore. And Duna and Ike dancing in the night, will keep you coming back for more. Jool has all the moons you'll need, From Tylo out to Bop. Mining ore on Gilly, or way out on lonely Pol, makes you sure you'll get home alright. I've been all 'round this system, and I seen all kinds of worlds. But I couldn't wait to go home to KSC. Back to the cutest world in the Kerb' I wish they all could be Kerbal Program Worlds (I wish they all could be Kerbal Program) I wish they all could be Kerbal Program Worlds
  18. It looks pretty simple. You should check out a free program called InkScape. You could pretty easily make it yourself it's just a couple circles and a shape made up of a couple more circles. https://inkscape.org/ (give a fish, teach to fish, etc)
  19. Assuming they are exactly the same mass, then yes. I'd need to actually do the math but I believe it's because (or at least related to) that (perfectly) twin worlds orbit each other such that "60 degrees east/west" on one world's orbit is actually also "60 degrees west/east" on the other world's orbit. (60 degrees East and West on the orbit is where those Lagrange points are, BTW. Important point about them that I skipped over above)
  20. You look good. Sorry for the delay! Nice job getting back to Eve orbit with only 7000m/s. I give myself more than the 8000 listed and usually have to try several times.
  21. I don't have one. That's the best description I can give.
  22. Weekends are crazy busy. I should hopefully have time to review all posts tomorrow. Sorry!
