So they have spent the better part of 2 years dumping resources into fixing the console release. How again is this "making a quick buck"?

It might, but it might nw. You may want to test this. A quick way to test is to back up your save file, load a few station parts to the launch pad, alt-f12, orbit, rendezvous them with your ship in space. Then dock them, and alt-f12 them to orbit of duna. Construct your station at Duna and see if - after you've removed all "too old" parts - it counts. I'm pretty sure each part has an age, and the vessel's age is just the age of the oldest part. I could be wrong though. Another thing is, do the work, be happy that you fulfilled the contract even if the game doesn't agree, and then alt-f12 complete the contract. I've done it many times when the game and I disagree about whether or not I lived up to my side of the bargain.

(copied from another post, as I was pinged twice on this same topic) Here's the config. It's quite simple. @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleProceduralFairing]] { @MODULE[ModuleProceduralFairing] { @TextureURL = 00_Mine/fairings_smooth } } Of course, you may need to change that path and will need a png, dds, or whatever image file to go with it. I used a fairing texture from procedural fairings, from what I recall. I won't distribute because I can't be bothered to look up their licensing (This was from about a year ago, so for all I know it won't work anymore, but it probably will)

I haven't opened the game since August, but I'm still here every day. Old habits die hard, I guess Welcome back. Cosmoteer is pretty sweet. I'm currently engrossed in Heat Signature.

[1.9.x] RCS Build Aid Continued - New Dependencies
Superfluous J replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thank you for picking this critical mod up. And thanks to @m4v not only for making it originally, but for giving it such a permissive license. -
What was the hardest decision you ever had to make in this game.
Superfluous J replied to 322997am's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I've never really had any of those moments with my Kerbals. I hate to say it but I really don't care much if they die. -
Paint is great for quick stuff. Or saving screenshots. As to fonts, I always use 1001fonts.com

Unmanned Missions
Superfluous J replied to Der Anfang's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Lots of solid advice in this thread. My only addition is, if you're unsure if you'll have comms, a quick way to test is to put your ship on the launch pad, alt-f12 and change it to be orbiting the destination world, then revert so it never actually happened. -
I'm pretty sure you mean sheeple.

I've had my head in the sand and/or clouds for a while regarding both KSP and China, but I don't understand this reference. Was something changed in KSP marketing, or is there a large contingent of Chinese gamers who hate all games where your'e not a male hero, or something else?

Naaw. They just fell for that old trick. Like where stores make their 20 ounce sodas $1.99 so the really dumb people think they only cost a dollar. And FTR you don't need to go sideways to get to space. It just makes staying there a heckuva lot easier.

pre programmed maneuvers
Superfluous J replied to mrvice's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yes you can. You don't even need the ability to auto aim at anything. Make a maneuver node while you have full control. Aim the probe at it. Time warp to it, and burn. Though most probes can auto-aim retrograde, which is all you need to do it even without any pre-planning.- 23 replies

Navball Markers are glitched
Superfluous J replied to phantom000's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
The most likely thing is your engines aren't thrusting through your center of mass, in the direction your command module is pointing. A picture of your ship, perhaps while thrusting, could help us help you more. -
GOG is sad. I stopped buying from them years ago because they're always late on updates.
-
Well then be glad this is the last time you'll ever be surprised by an update.

Just saw this on Steam, came here to report, instead first to post. Great job guys, looking forward to seeing what's new! EDIT with thoughts: Sweet. Is it "up" or "forward" from the Kerbal's perspective? Awww why? Was it causing a problem? I know I've successfully done some pretty slick EVA shenanigans because of maneuver nodes.

little and bad evidence for a massive claim is what this is

What was promised and not delivered? The only two things I can think of that someone could consider promised but not delivered are a dV readout (from an offhand, ambiguous, and not ever acknowledged to my memory Twitter post by a non-developer who left years ago) and Multiplayer (that was announced to be something they'd start working on - but never promised to be included - some nebulous time after release. You could argue that it's after release now, but I will also point out that in 2047 it'll also still be after release). Are there any other promised features that you're waiting on? Links to the promises of these features would help your cause. -
What have you been playing recently? (Other than KSP)
Superfluous J replied to a topic in The Lounge
The tiny sliver of time I have for video games right now has been almost entirely devoted to Heat Signature. Very solid base for what is already a very good game, and should eventually turn into a great one. -
Career, simulations, finishing game
Superfluous J replied to Cassel's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Generally, when I start a new career I know in my mind what I want to accomplish. A base on every planet and moon. "Colonize" Laythe. Whatever. Once I get that, I consider that save "won" and move on. If I could set up all this in the career creation screen, cool. But I don't really want the game telling me what constitutes "winning." -
I just realised something about Bill and Bob.
Superfluous J replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I wouldn't say it bothers me a LOT but it has always annoyed me. I actually remember who's the Scientist and who's the Engineer because they're opposite what I would have done
