If you install BDB in an RO install, there are a bunch of BDB patches included in the main RO folder that will make a lot of parts work. The BDB RO patches are not made by us but created by volunteers who submit the patches to RO itself. However the last time the RO patches were updated was maybe 2 years ago? So a lot of the more recent parts won't work. Additionally some native RO mods like RO engines and RO capsules use some BDB 3d models with permission. So you might have seen some of that too. ROCapsules (one of the core mods in a CKAN RP-1 install) includes most BDB spacecraft. I don't know if they've updated the lunar modules yet, but Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo in Realism Overhaul are already represented with BDB part models. As for the rockets, you can make them yourself in Realism Overhaul, and that allows you to actually have correctly-proportioned rockets; BDB's rockets do look good, but adhering to multiples of 0.625m diameter requires making compromises that you do not have to make in RO. The one thing that's really missing is the probes; as far as I know, BDB's probes aren't configured for RO at all (though some BDB probe core models are used as options for the procedural avionics core if I recall correctly). If you want to put in the work to configure them, I'd suggest joining the Realism Overhaul development Discord server and asking people there how to get started. EDIT: I took a closer look, and some probes may have configs, but it doesn't look like they all do. Granted, I was not part of the original this early; but I would have expected that many of the battles would already have been addressed as the experience from KSP1 development *SHOULD* have carried *MANY* solutions forward....even if new code (from scratch) was needed to implement them. To be clear, I have an M2 PCIe SSD, 64GB of RAM, a RTX 3080 Ti and an i9-12900K and even with that I can't run all of those mods together comfortably. That's probably why your VAB lags, it can't keep up with all of those parts. I would recommend cutting your parts mods to half. Or at least I would not recommend running all of BDB and all of NFT together, especially not with SOCK/Habtech/SEP/Tantares in the mix too. Also, the following mods on your list have previously caused various lag issues for me personally (YMMV) (*** = worst offenders): Spoiler x Science *** B9 procedural wings DOE FAR FMRS KER KK MechJeb Parallax *** PlanetShine RPM SCANsat Scatterer ScienceAlert (why do you even run this together with x Science?)
