  1. Finally. Someone is actually trying to compete with KSP. About time.
  2. The way I see it, jet engines are already really fuel efficient. No need to add tons of fuel. I've been playing with this or similar configs for some time now. I can't imagine designing planes the stock way now.
  3. Smart thinking. I started this habit back in 0.24.2. My KSP folder is pretty big at this point.
  4. Sorry for the delay. I'm not playing much right now, as I'm waiting for 1.4, so I can get a final update of all the mods for 1.3.1 and make my ultimate 1.3.1 version of KSP. I'm using this patch to add fuel based on mass. @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleLiftingSurface]] { !RESOURCE[LiquidFuel]{} } @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleLiftingSurface],!MODULE[ModuleCommand],!MODULE[ModuleControlSurface],!RESOURCE[*]] { RESOURCE { name = LiquidFuel amount = #$../mass$ maxAmount = #$../mass$ @amount *= 200 @maxAmount *= 200 } } This gives the delta wing 40 liquid fuel, small delta 10, etc.
  5. More than likely, there's plenty going on behind the scenes. The game industry is all about massive initial spending for the hopes of massive future profits. Its the cycle of game development. There's no reason to expect we'll know what's actually going on anytime soon.

  9. I have a similar patch. It is very peculiar that Squad never added fuel to the stock wings. Besides the model kit wings of course. I'll try yours and see how we match up.
  10. Here I am wondering: "Can I play State Funding without messing with the tech tree or upgrades?" Of course I can. Because this is KSP. And there is always a mod for that.
  11. This may have to do with the size of the stock system being so small. Bring more into orbit is much more trivial than in real life.

  15. I found the exact opposite. Not only does it recreate one of the more visble challenges of space travel, it adds actual time based gameplay. Which is sorely lacking from the stock game.

  17. Small correction. Take Two bought KSP. Squad is still contracted to work on KSP. Take Two does not own Squad.
  18. Nah. I like the idea of ghost ships floating through space I can return to.
