You seem like a really upbeat and cheerful person. You'll do well here. Welcome!

Gonna make this short and sweet. I see the question a lot, and explained a lot, but never a tutorial linked. How to quickly post an image on the forums, using Imgur and CubeUpload. (I know there are more, but Imgur is the most popular, and CubeUpload is what I use). Any other service should be pretty similar. Neither of these services requires an account, but it's definitely helpful if you ever need to access the links again. Edit: CubeUpload currently requires registration due to an insane abuse of the guest upload system. Step 1: Upload your image(s). Imgur There's a green "New Post" button the top. Click it, and the upload dialogue will appear. Click on "Browse", and select your picture. Click "Open", and it will bring you here: Hover over the image, and click on "Copy". This will copy the image's direct link to your clipboard. The other copy button will give you the link to the image on Imgur. This is not what you want. CubeUpload Click on "Select Images". Pick your image: Click on "Open". This will then take you to the preview page. You can select multiple images before clicking on open if you need to upload more than one. Click on the "Start Upload" button. It will upload your images one by one, and then display your options. Click on the top line below the image, right click, and select "Copy". This will copy the image's direct link to your clipboard. Step 2: Paste your image(s). Go to your post, and simply paste in what you've copied. The link will display briefly, then the image will appear. If you double click on your image, you can edit its properties. Really handy for downsizing a bunch of images consistently. And that's it!

A lot of people use imgur, personally I use cubeupload. Neither requires account creation (although recommended if you want to manage your pictures). Cubeupload could literally not make it easier. You could even use facebook if you wanted, although I wouldn't go that route since FB encodes pictures down to ..eh... quality.

You can't. The forum itself does not host pictures. The only way to put pictures in a post is to upload them elsewhere and past the direct image link in the post.

I've seen the same bug since 1.3.1, on Linux. Pretty sure I've seen it in stock. Seems to have gotten better though. I haven't had to restart the game, but going to the KSC, then back to the ship lets me click on stuff again.

It's alright, you have a 250 GB harddrive, which is permanent but editable storage. ROM (Read Only Memory) is the term used for media such as CDs and DVDs, where you cannot add or edit data. But I agree, your laptop may be able to run a watered down, absolutely zero mod game... terribly. I can't believe that thing has Windows 10. Let me guess, it had 7, but you fell victim to the forced "you should love this because it's free even though your hardware is barely running what you already have" update? I don't know what kind of budget you're on, but you can get refurbished laptops that could adequately play KSP for under $150 at placed like NewEgg. Or save a few more pennies, and get something decent for $50 - $100 more like this one (Not directly recommending this laptop, just an example): Not a fantastic laptop, but much beefier than what you have. I know you want to jump in and play the game, but I fear running in on sub-par hardware will just make you frustrated and end up hating the game.

Awesome, thanks! Works find in 1.3.1 and 1.4.2!

So this has been happening for a few days. Normally my basement floods a little bit when it rains a lot. Which it has been. But the rain stopped, and the flooding didn't. A few soggy drywall punches later, I found that. Thankfully, I guess, this is in the laundry room by the floor drain, so I suppose it could have been much worse.

Pulling craft file from save.
Geonovast replied to Geonovast's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thank you thank you! The extractor worked just fine! -
I've had a bit of an "auto-overwriting-Untitled Space Craft" blunder. So the craft file is gone, however, the ship does still exist as an active vessel in a save. What can I do to extract the ship from the save and make it a craft file? Is it even possible?

If you post in the wrong section, just report your own post (upper right hand corner by the share icon) and a mod will move it for you. Personally, I like the drab whites/greys of the stock textures.

Biggest Plane with a Juno
Geonovast replied to zolotiyeruki's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Edit: While starting the next project, I realized I had infinite propellant on. Redoing.... stand by... -
Underwater view at the right angle looked like this. I also assume it's scatter's fault.

This yesterday: This today: Managed to land an MK1 pod with nothing but a handful of sepratrons. Not the smoothest, still have some tweaking to do (and it would help if the 1.4.2 landing legs didn't just up and disappear when you tried to use the), but the pod's intact.

I need that navball. Where'd/How'd you get that?
-
Might actually turn the game's sound on with something like this!

I know, it was more a nudge to get the OP to provide more information when asking for help

I'm more than happy to try the save, but which one? The link goes to the drive, which has several different saves. Also, which version of the game is this in? If it's 1.4.x, do you have Making History? Do you have any mods? Need to know what to boot which save into.

First pinned topic in Kerbal Network I got mine from a random word generator like 14-16 years ago. (Also pretty sure Ive posted in a clone of ghis thread already...)

Most aren't, as they're generally clocked lower to keep down on heat. My old laptop has a 2.1ghz i5 (IIRC, 2nd gen). I didn't know the green clock existed on that. When I built my desktop, initially I had another i5. But it was a 7th gen 3.4ghz. Both i5s, but the desktop ran it so, so, so much better. Now I have a 4.2 ghz 7th gen i7.

Stuck in 300km orbit with no fuel. Help!
Geonovast replied to Chel's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
He could GOAP at PE and until it's a safer orbit, then do the rescue mission.
