  2. Another workaround I'm doing is landing an OSE AI workshop separately with a small buffalo rover next to it. The rover has some shared storage for material kits and occasionally docks to the workshop with the WBI grapple to top it up.
  3. Easy enough to do with MM. I've got a bunch of tweaks I've done to make Mir and Salyut stations have more utility, like science and snacks processors.
  4. https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-BDB-Wiki/issues/47#issuecomment-625355548 Not quite finished the guide yet but should get you going
  5. My normal process is biome scan > low res scan > hi res scan > narrow band scan > surface scan. Once I find biomes which have a high average, I run a narrow band sweep to find where the hot spots are and then land a surface scanner to get the final number. Often I skip the narrow band scanner though because you can usually get "good enough" just by doing a surface scan anywhere in the biome. I depends how scarce the resources are though - Ore in JNSQ is pretty rare so encourages more advanced scanning to get the sweet spots.
  6. If you have selected "Disable Stock Resource scanning", then you need to use ScanSat to find resources instead. In a nutshell, the difference is: Stock: send resource scanner, press button, magically receive complete resource map of planet. Then do surface scans to find the more precise abundance levels. ScanSat: send fuzzy scanner, spin round planet a few times, get initial resource map. Send hi res resource scanner for more detail. Then do surface scans for more precise abundance levels. If you have the "stock threshhold" setting then when your ScanSat scan reaches say 90%, you'll be able to see the stock resource view as well.
  7. They'll go into any available KIS inventory space. You can right click on a part with KIS inventory and select "Favor Inventory" to encourage the built parts to go there first (until it's full) Click "Open OSE Workbench" in the PAW of any of the OSE Workshop parts
  8. You should see 3 or 4 white squares with red text on them in the VAB part selection, which you can place on the rocket then scroll through the available logos - if in doubt it's useful to get Janitor's Closet so you can filter the part list by mod.
  9. Awesome, I shall add it to my Mir build guide! Incidentally, I finished the Almaz and Salyut DOS pages as well as the resupply vehicles and landers. I want to add more details for how to build Mir and the ISS Russian segment next. As always, feedback welcome!
  10. It should be clear in the (unofficial) wiki build guide I hope? When installing the Destiny lab (step F) I've made a note to remember the truss connector on top of the lab so you can attach the S0 Truss later (step K).
  11. I finished off the N1-L3 and Crew Modules pages of the Tantares unofficial wiki. Feedback welcome.
  12. Not to hand, but it's mostly Titan LDC parts: DCSS and interstage adapter on top, the white intertank is a short LDC-LF3300 fuel tank with the "straight" style switch and it has a Cryoengines CR-68 Etna on the bottom. The lower tank is upside down to make the lines look better. I have no idea if the scale is correct but it looks good and is a pretty capable LV for under 50k funds fully fueled.
  13. Trying to dig around to shed some more light on this issue. It's reproducable with just WBI Pathfinder, KIS and OSE Workshop installed. A craft with just OSE 3D Lab & KIS storage works fine. If you add any Pathfinder part (with KIS storage), then OSE fails with "[OSE] - Error while determing maximum volume of available inventories!" I'm guessing that it's something to do with how KIS inventories are defined in Pathfinder that's causing Workshop.W_KIS.KISWrapper.GetInventories function to fail, and so the KIS volume isn't passed to OSE. I've dug through the configs but I can't find anything that Pathfinder does differently when defining KIS inventories. I think it'd need some understanding of what GetInventories function is expecting and why it's different to what it used to be. @linuxgurugamer may be able to shed some light on that if he has the code exposed for OSE? Some log bits for reference below.
  14. Reworking old stuff would be great but adding some new would be cool too if you have the enthusiasm for it. I'm thinking things like Tsyklon, Dnepr, Start or even Angara would round out the mod nicely! As an aside, and speaking as a campaign player, it would be nice to have more compatibility patches for things like Life Support and ISRU included where relevant to give the parts more utility in a campaign game. I've knocked up a bunch for Snacks because I happen to be using that in my latest play through, although I suspect they're not very well-balanced.
  15. Did you find a workaround for this? I'm having the same issue.
  16. Here's a very simple MM patch that adds a little bit of ore, some Life Support resources for either Snacks! or TAC-LS, and a couple of experiment slots for WBI Pathfinder. It would be neater using B9 Partswitch but that would add a mod dependency. Resource balance is very rough based on other parts of about the same size.
  17. You need to use the same make of docking port for both sides, so Octans to Octans or Eridani to Eridani. Octans to Eridani won't work, even though they look vaguely similar.
  18. [snip] Looks wicked - I need to give this a whirl!
  19. I guess a lot of people want to recreate historical craft and Soviet/Russian spacecraft are not as well documented as other nations, as I discovered when trying to summarise things on the Tantares wiki. A fair amount of info you dig up is speculative or simply bold assertions written by forum warriors who are often as misleading as the sources they are quoting!
  20. Open the craft file in a text editor and change the version to 1.8.1. It's right at the top of the file, can't miss it!
