  1. P 43 @Stormpilot, you should have substituted 42 with "the answer to life, the universe, and everything."
  2. I did! I found it a very enjoyable video. I made the timeline long before this video came out. I used the video to study for and help make a project for a biology class. Wrote a journal as if I was time traveling through all the periods of the Earth.
  3. The post said it was for tourists to have comfort, so how about... a viewing module! Several cupolas, along with other window-y parts, I guess. It'll be called the "Celestial Lounge." To also help with comfort, it'll have several pamphlets on managing existential dread caused by the Overview Effect. Oh, I forgot to ask, any tech tree limitations or not?
  4. Any construction limits? Like, the module won't be anything outlandish, but there's gotta be some limits.
  5. Granted, but it's his private plane which had a blue stripe. It will forever be his tomb under the arctic ice, him drifting solemnly in his suit of metal, his clothing of aluminum always sticking with slowly accumulating ice, eternally, as children cry and scream every December after that fateful accident. I wish all Hallmark movies had a super big budget and were high quality.
  6. Banned for not upgrading to Unlimited Pro UltraMax GiveUsMoneyTM R C ETC. Starting at $1 a month and then ramping up to $3.65x101000003 per nanosecond afterward.
  7. It's sad how most of the history of the Earth is simply dismissed as "Precambrian." We must thank the Hadean for giving us a Moon! For giving us Apollo, and Artemis, a reason to go back into space on our way to Mars after all these years. I have a long timeline made out of paper that shows the entire history of the Earth with notable events marked. Everything is to scale, and it's about 8 feet long. Most of that time is Earth, chilling, with no complex life or anything, just sitting there with oceans and small continents. Back in my day, none of us cheated and got energy from the Sun.
  8. Hate to necropost I really do but that's since been debunked. Giant arthropods like arthropleura reached their peak size well before the carboniferous and retained it well after. Me, I have to say Cretaceous, I like the birds too much. Still, RIP trilobites. Again, hate to necropost.
  9. "That's one small step for a-" *sees the exterior of the vessel for the first time* "Hang on, we forgot the parachutes!"
  10. The super star lets Mario steal the one-dollar bill without consequence. @dsplaisted wins! Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!
  11. Well, not that one craft specifically, I just meant something of that scale. Tell me more about the station module submissions? (it's hard to find specific posts, especially if I don't know exactly what I'm looking for)
  12. "I am proud to represent humanity on the first mission to Duna- uh, wait I meant Mars- crap! Can I start over?"
  13. Was that a Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference I spotted there?
  14. What about something larger? Kimera Industries has developed a Minmus sample-return ship for another thread. (I think you know which one I'm talking about)
  15. Oh, I see. Yeah, the Mercury one is still kind of a ring. The few times Matt Lowne does a small centrifuge (or any centrifuge for that matter) it's been a non-ring one pretty similar to the one you've designed.
