So Im on mac and I've looked through the fourms to figure out how to enable 64 bit on the Mac. what everyone keeps saying is that it is 64 bit by default but when i go into the game the performance is not improved and it is just as slow as 1.0.5 32 bit. i checked the activity monitor like some people suggested and it is labled as a 64 bit program, but is does not act like a 64 bit install due to the many lag spikes. I dont think im enabled on 64 bit, what should i do? Thanks, Justspace103

hey i was having the same problem and i checked the performance FPS to see if it compared to the 64 bit in the steams and the preview videos and the framerate did not go over 60, so i think it defaults to 32 bit

hey guys so on mac i read that on mac the 64 bit version is by default if the OS is updated, but it doesnt say the (x64) in the corner of the screen.

yeah i think the 64 bit workaround is your problem, that can always be buggy. But dont fear! KSP 1.1 will have 64 bit support! -

I use El Capitan on MAC for KSP. I don't have many problems other than graphic glitches when I install visual mods like EVE. Do you have many mods installed or is it a stock game? -

so i just finished watching the squad-cast yesterday, and Kasper, EJ and Dr. Turkey showed 1.1 in experimentals. throughout all the awesome stuff like the wheels, the new buttons at the space center, and the fancy orbit lines (and of course the Unity 5 update), what really grasped my heart was the incredible performance increase. seriously, if you haven't watched it yet: stop reading this post and go watch it NOW. your mind will be blown. AND IT WAS ON A LAPTOP!!! after my initial reaction of amazing disbelieved profanity, i started to wonder about how KSP 1.1 will work on my mac. will mac users get the same experience of performance? Also, how would any graphics be changed and will 64 bit be available for the mac? Basically, i just have a lot of questions regarding the "under the hood" side of KSP 1.1 on mac. But seriously, 1.1 looks amazing, even for experimentals and i cant wait until it drops. and of course: thank you devs for everything!!!

i still play this way. i dont like to spend hours trying to balance my rocket just right. i just do trial and error. when something does go wrong, i try again or do something else. plus, by "winging" every mission i do, it is always a surprise when everything works! -
Wow this sounds so cool. i tried a million times to do a similar thing, but i would never finish in time for the next update

ill be siked for 1.1 no matter what. we will just have to wait and see how good it runs -
yeah ive encountered this. it happens when the game thinks you are leaving kerbins SOI, reentering it for a very short time, and exits on a "similar trajectory that is slightly off and messes up the manuver

its possible, but you wouldnt need it because gilly is so small -
Im having a problem with this mod on the MAC. when i have everything installed into the save file i can get to the main menu but when i go to the space center my game crashes basically i did some trial and error and found the problem in the KSPRC folder under Atmospheres. i think the problem has something to do with tor1, tor2, and vulclouds textures. does anyone know how to fix this? @Proot

So i thought that i found the problem. i realized that my game was on full res so i changed it to half and it worked like a charm. However, today i was testing with the scatterer mod and the same effect happened. I checked the debug window and there were no null reference acceptions Does anyone know how to fix it?
