You have to explain your question better. Do you mean a low TWR rocket? Anything with TWR higher than 1 can throw itself up, and from there it's just a matter of having a big enough rocket. The lower the TWR, the more fuel the rocket wastes just hovering, and the (exponentially) more you have to bring with you. That said, "big enough" might be hopelessly beyond our engineering capabilities for very low TWR, and I suppose anything with TWR lower than 2 is going to have a very hard time getting to space.

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
monstah replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't think it's that easy to say. It will probably depend on the direction of fuel flow relative to which engine is the most fuel-hungry. Best is do to test drives for designs you're not sure about. -
[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
monstah replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The dev version works just fine. I think they have some problems with calculating dV when using one of the fancy new fuel flow modes, but otherwise go right ahead. -

temporary cfg override?
monstah replied to Red Shirt's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Use ModuleManager. It's a mod for doing exactly that. -
Banned for anachronisms.

Cópia descarada do tópico "ban the user above you"
monstah replied to EuSouONumero345's topic in Portuguese (Português)
Banido por desconsiderar os 20% que faltam. -
Pay for science fiction, get The Power of Love instead. Again. Ugh. The whole thing is just so... why didn't they bother to learn human languages instead? The part with the telephone and the wife's last words was so heavy-handed it felt like someone forgot to wrap most of the script and just threw the resolution in a single scene. And the whole daughter plot line seems completely disconnected to me. It never fleshes out the daughter character, we are given no reason to care for her at all; it doesn't help flesh out Amy's character either. And why did they send a physicist? Actually, what did he even do?

[1.1][1.1-1] Apr-19-2016 Dynamic Texture Loader
monstah replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
For clarification, the rule forbids "messages that repeat inquiries for updates". The first time it's usually just to have an idea of how busy the modder is, wether they're already working on the mod or doing something else for awhile, wether they expect any difficulties updating it, etc. If it hasn't been brought up yet, we don't have that much of a problem with it (provided it's polite, of course). That said, this discussion has been had on this thread, just one page back: So yes, don't ask again and sit on tight. But don't hold your breath either, you may be disappointed. -
Locked at OP's request.

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
monstah replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you look in the signature in the post just above yours, in bold large letters, you'll see a link to a development version that's working just fine. Please don't bother modders for updates before checking if that hasn't been asked for already, or if it isn't in development already. -
Ah yes, I saw that. But if I'm correct, your last request was for an older version of SSTU, right? That's probably something people there can help you with, since some people play older versions of KSP for non RSS/RO-related reasons, like mod compatibility and long-running save games. If I misunderstood, I'm sorry.
-
That quote is from the post you just linked. I'll edit out your download link while you sort this out.
-
You'll probably have better luck asking that in the SSTU thread

A bunch of stars just got renamed, including Alpha Centauri
monstah replied to Mitchz95's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yeah, I see I was wrong. It apparently has been called "Rigel" sometimes but the Rigel I was thinking of was actually Orion's. Interesting fact! Didn't know that.- 32 replies

monstah replied to Mitchz95's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Hasn't Alpha Centauri been called Rigel since forever? And it's still the brightest in the constellation, so it should still be "the alpha".. vOv edit - Oh, it's now Rigil instead of Rigel? Silly me, the Rigel I was thinking of is in Orion. ...as if the name had anything to do with how easy or hard it is to do science. This is exactly the sort of thing that led me to remove space.com from my feeds list.- 32 replies

I knew I recognized them! Haven't payed attention to my Steam Cards ever since I got KSP, tho.

I didn't even know it was a thing, and from reading this thread I went from "hey!" to "meh" to "blergh" in 15 posts. Wikipedia puts it as "docudrama", this abomination shouldn't even be a word.

What is your biggest science pet peeve in movies?
monstah replied to todofwar's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Amusingly enough, that can be actual footage and not CGI. You just have to have the camera really far from the subject, and zoomed all the way in. Granted, that's not how we look at things with our human eyes (I have human eyes, because I'm human. Are you?). But still that's not inaccurate, merely an unusual point of view. -
Hey. I just saw "Calculating Better Burn Time" and "Strategizing". @Snark? @nightingale? Do you have any hands in this?
