Jayne
Really cool overhaul of the system. I'm only having one issue after installation, some of the bodies with atmospheres are darker than they should be and both gas giants are completely dark spheres. Which version of Scatterer do you have? You need the version named like "0.07..." not 0.08 or newer. Scatterer underwent a syntax change between versions and JNSQ is locked into the old syntax. I'm on mobile with limited search capability. Earlier posts in this thread can tell you the exact Scatterer version if my info is too vague. stk2008
as DeadJohn said needs to be a correct version of Scatterer or you will get planets that look very odd

Jayne
Has someone made a transfer angle reference sheet for this mod?
Leganeski
12 minutes ago, Jayne said: Has someone made a transfer angle reference sheet for this mod? Not that I know of, but here are the angles I calculated. (*The starred angles vary considerably due to orbital eccentricity.) From Kerbin Moho: -252* (i.e. Moho is 252 degrees behind Kerbin, or equivalently 108 degrees ahead) Eve: -54 Duna: +44 Edna: +75 Dres: +82* Jool: +97 Lindor: +106 Eeloo, Hamek: +109* Nara: +114* To Kerbin Moho: +76 (i.e. Kerbin is 76 degrees ahead of Moho) Eve: +36 Duna: -75 Edna: -238 (equivalently +122) Dres: -330* (+30*) Jool: -769 (-49) Lindor: -2011 (+149*) Eeloo, Hamek, Nara: none (the optimal angle varies by more than 360 degrees over the course of the planet's eccentric orbit, and even a 180 degree misalignment is relatively cheap to correct because Kerbin completes many orbits during the transfer) If you want transfer angles for the moon systems as well, let me know and I'll work on making a table. Transfer Window Planner works with JNSQ Astrogator or Kerbal Alarm Clock (KAC) can also calculate launch windows. Note that their launch windows can differ by several days or weeks, but I've never dived too deeply into why they disagree. I usually launch into Kerbin orbit early then figure out my precise ejection burn.

TaintedLion
Are there any patches that add Parallax 2.0 and/or Blackrack's volumetric clouds to JNSQ?
Kerb24
@TaintedLion For Parallax 2.0 there's this. For volumetric clouds, I believe that would require the latest version of scatterer, which JNSQ does not support. (Correct me if I'm incorrect)

Krazy1
I thought I already posted this.... There are no Ridgelines on Gilly. I landed at least 5 places and used the surface feature finder and there are none there. They work on the Mun, Minmus and Moho but not Gilly. https://github.com/Galileo88/JNSQ/issues/57 I also had to remove Parallax and the config linked above because it eliminates all BG surface features, not just on Gilly. https://github.com/coldrifting/JNSQ_ParallaxScatters/issues/
WolfyDoo
I have a question. How can I change the default sunflare from JNSQ? I want to have a custom sunflare, but when I change it in Scatterer, nothing happens. I still get the default flare from JNSQ, I think. Nikodga
I have installed JNSQ, KK and Omega structures as instructed here, all trough CKAN However, i cant for the life of me figure how to make the structures appear, I've skimmed trough this forum but couldn't find any answer. You have to simply swap the files associated with the sunflare to whatever you'd like to swap them with, just overwrite the ones present in JNSQ. Just make sure they're names are the exact same. I had to do that with Ad Astra mod, as it changed the good sunflare with some janky one.

KK+OSSNTR only gives you the ability to have those statics in world - neither of those actually places any. Have a look at KSCExtended for more info. You can also use the KK editor to place them yourself. Also, how is the parallax stuff working for you on JNSQ?

I thought JNSQ would add them automatically to kerbin - im not very knowledgefull on the how to add any of these places, and i really want them to have real airports for my airliners. could you give me a link to KSCExtended or give me a quick rundown on how i add them? 1 hour ago, OrbitalManeuvers said: Also, how is the parallax stuff working for you on JNSQ? Pretty good. I looked around for config files for parallax and JNSQ and found this: GitHub - coldrifting/JNSQ_ParallaxScatters: Adds parallax scatter support to KSP's JNSQ planet mod Before i added this, i saw flying grass up to 3 kilometers and clouds were nonexistent during flight. after i added this everything has been working as expected - including collisions with trees and other objects I also found other configs for JNSQ + Parallax but i only tried the one i linked, and since it worked i didnt bother with trying this other one:

JNSQ contains the configs and requires OSSNTR which is the asset pack... You must also ensure that you have GameData/CustomPreLaunchChecks/ which is bundled with and required by KK or else KK doesn't function. Anyone who is will and able to produce/update scatterer and EVE configs is certainly welcome to do so. Configs are usually not restrictive licensed (except when finely crafted PQSMod/terrain topology settings are concerned). Visual mod configs are not my territory but may be @OhioBob's. Do alert us if someone makes it so and we could arrange a release just for that (probably). Edited May 8 by JadeOfMaar

JNSQ places many KK statics around Kerbin. Quoting from the top post in this thread: JNSQ provides at least 14 facilities powered by Kerbal Konstructs and requires Omega's Stockalike Stuctures. Most of these facilities have gameplay features within them for making use of spare kerbals, launching and refueling ships, farming funds or science, expanding DSN coverage, recovering for funds in career. Most of these facilities are hidden by default and must be found. 9 of these are airports. 2 of these directly replace the MH launch sites (Woomera2 for Woomerang, and Darude for Dessert). 2 of these are mountain-top observatories with science farming and full DSN capabilities. There's also an optional "GAP for JNSQ" contract pack that encourages building planes to fly to the airports.

Interesting!, I did not have that folder in my gamedata folder. CKAN did not install KK properly it seems. im gonna do a manual install of KK and see what happens. Thanks! EDIT: i did have CustomPreLaunchChecks in my gamedata folder, checked via CKAN as well and it was installed there.
