Pthigrivi
Made it home! But the traffic is wild.
JoeSchmuckatelli
Just started for me. Mostly clear, a little haze. Woot
Spaceception
I don't live in an area that will see totality, but it's supposed to hit a peak at over ~90% in less than 2 hours or so. Apparently the difference between 90 and 100% is day and night (pun intended), but I'm just glad I live somewhere that sees any part of the eclipse. Rutabaga22
Clear blue sky here in VT. I can't wait to watch! 3 minutes
Rutabaga22
My siblings are already tired of looking at the eclipse and went inside until totality. How could anyone find this boring? It’s so cool.
Minmus Taster
Weather is slightly better for now, can see it beginning.
AlamoVampire
Total flop!!! 100% cloud cover for me at totality. Saw the world go into darkness which was neat but couldnt see the main event 135404082024
Brotoro
Success! Clouds on and off, but we got to see totality in hole. Nail-biting, watching the clouds. I also had my telescope, and looked at it during totality (and partial phases through filter). Prominences were good in binoculars.
Minmus Taster
Weather gods have truly spit in my face this time around. Dark grey clouds right when things get interesting.
cubinator
I saw it all. Got incredible photos too!!! WOW!
Superfluous J
I'll say more later with some (bad) pics, but in short that was AMAZING.
JoeSchmuckatelli
From my vantage there was a tiny point of bright yellow /orange light on the south limn of the moon. Guessing it was a mountain or trench. Corona was cool - although partly hazed out by high clouds. Wifey poo and spawn fully enjoyed the experience! So glad I did this!
Arugela
I wish I still had my newtonian telescope and solar filter. I would have liked to have watched this with it. My brain forgot the lensese don't magnify it... Somehow I didn't mentally process that part. What is the biggest telescope with a solar filter that could watch this? did any large telescopes watch this with good detail and record it? Minmus Taster
Got a large amount of darkening at our max coverage. Because there were clouds we could actually see the shadow pass next to us. An interesting upside to my circumstances.
JoeSchmuckatelli
We are already arguing about alternative routes home. Past experience telling me to be aggressive about the route - Wife 1.0 insisting Google knows best. Google doesn't know what I know - it's only gonna get worse. Take that, AI underlord! Gargamel
The sky broke. Then my brain broke. Truly amazing. Got some decent shots of totality. Clearly noticeable solar flares. (Those bright red spots you saw with your naked eye) We’re already planning the trip to Morocco.
cubinator
Roosters called, crickets jumped out into the field...seriously a lot of wildlife where we ended up.

StrandedonEarth
I think we were supposed to get something like 23% here. But I was inside working, clouds and rain outside, so, meh. But anyways, happy to hear that for some of you…

Kerb24
I cannot put into words how amazing that was. My mind is still struggling to process it.
Brotoro
We are headed back to Abilene base camp via the back roads, which don’t seem very busy. Maybe the interstate is busy?
JoeSchmuckatelli
Grumpy Gus - the kid who sometimes drives, sometimes complains tells me that his SnapFriends map page tells him that our backwoods adventures only saved 19 minutes. Clearly I'm stoopid
Krakotte
That was awesome! I was afraid that the cloud cover would be more dense than anticipated but it turned out to be ok. I took a few photos with my camera (300mm aps-c) (no filter so no partial phase) Safe travel to everyone going home!
