Nice! That poor rocket never got enough love in real life (though for justifiable reasons) so it's nice to see it getting used here. And your mission results seem to be par for the course for early US lunar missions. Man I could stare at that for hours... Very cool! I was never really sold on that launcher until now - that looks pretty neat! Enough that I'll forgive you for using the wrong mod. ^.^ There was actually a fair amount of variation in the Saturn II proposals, so you could actually do even more tweaking with it. Makes me wonder when/if BDB will have hydrolox lifting engines. There is the modified LR-87 in the mod right now... C-3 used, to my understanding, what would be a 5m version of the S-II stage (notice that it is not differentiated in name between those two variants, and the Saturn V / C-5 second stage) but still with 4 J2s. I know I definitely want to do that version, with that mounting plate. It wouldn't be hard to do some rescaling/tweaking with the mesh to get both versions of the mount. However, I doubt that you'll be able to work it - the Saturn 1B in BDB already has somewhat atrocious TWR, and the real one sat at 1.26 TWR according to Astronautix. I think it's a larger scale version of von Braun's Juno IV proposal, where it would never fly fully fueled, and the fuel loads in the stages would vary to provide the best TWR curve given a payload and its destination. So essentially, not as big/powerful a rocket as it appears just by looking at it. Also, is S-IBN an autocorrect error? C-2 would have used the S-IV stage as a third stage, and then S-V (a modified centaur) as an optional 4th.

And the interstage for S-IVB. And basically the whole of the enginemounts - they're pretty blank. And the 5.625m decoupler. And the ullage motors. And add retros to the engine mount. And add a lot of polish to the tanks. There's still a lot left. I focused on the bigger parts first but that means the little stuff adds up and you realized somewhat late how much of it there is. @Araym yes I already added them, they weren't visible in that screenshot.

@Araym well Ledenko's old K-P0LL0 stuff is completely open source IIRC. And all of @Beale's stuff is free to be redistributed in BDB (With his blessing, of course). Do you think you could shoot a zip in a PM to me and @Jso so we can take a look at them and get them up on the Github? I know a couple people have volunteered to make IVAs for the Apollo and LEM, but I haven't seen *too* much from any of them, so I'm letting them take their time/fade away if they don't wind up completing them. In the meanttime those IVAs look good. Also, if you have a LEM IVA stand-in that works I'd love to see it. Most of the Sarnus bits are not finished yet. They were uploaded with a placeholder checkerboard texture so that they could be balanced, tested for collider bugs, make sure the rocket fits together, etc. If you want the latest stable release, look here.

Jeez how do you crank these out so fast? Looking great as always!

Worth remembering that IIRC the new parts don't properly have their shaders. According to Bac9 over on Reddit, they need to do a bunch of work to make their own custom version of the Unity 5 Standard shader in order to make it work right / look right in game.

well I'm basically already making the Boar and Rhino right now... Since they're just an F1 and a J2, respectively. also, I believe the intent was for the stock model switch to also be capable of changing the attach parameters.
