  1. Just a reminder to scroll up for existing answers before giving the OP a nuclear option.
  2. Yes, the same breed that are afraid of 5G cell towers.
  3. I can understand the reaction, I won't be busting open bottles of champagne over Eurotruck.
  4. I think the point of allowing Kraken drives is to make the challenge open to more people Kinda negates the point of a Kerbal challenge, when you can just flip physics off. It really negates the point of getting more points the lower you go.
  5. So the Kraken drive is supposed to be used to escape once you've gotten low enough? That's the entire challenge of getting that low, anyone can send something to a depth of 250m, but few can get back - of course, without K-drives.
  6. Wouldn't this make trying to get as low as possible meaningless? You're below 10k, you've won. Getting lower takes no effort.
  7. Yeah ok whatever, doesn't make the display any more readable.
  8. Yeah, or at least a standalone one that comes with the base game.
  9. KSP 2 should come with its own form of CKAN. KSP actively encourages mods yet it makes people jump through hoops to get mods sorted and working, and once you've done that, chances are you're stuck on that version of KSP because one or two mods are no longer being updated and much of your infrastructure depends on them. TLDR: KSP 2 should be more robust when it comes to mods dependent on old features and it would help if KSP 2 managed mods on its own without needing the fans to step in and provide these basic needs.
  10. Kinda hard to practice aiming when most of my uncontrolled projectiles never go in a straight line (and when you try to get it to go straight by adding control, the projectile usually becomes too big and is now a missile lol), atleast from my own experience. Someone has probably made better turrets than me Trying to aim at rapidly moving objects without any sort of guidance on the projectile can be very difficult. Some form of guidance is recommended - especially in space where having guidance lets you make tiny but huge course corrections as you approach your target.
  11. Wait, Bahamuto did VVR? Practise aiming
  12. You don't, all you need is something heavy and some rockets.
  13. Hope to see the OG orange tank back. How could Squad take it away from us?
  14. Let's just ignore everything we've heard about KSP 2 being a squillion times more optimised than KSP 1
  15. The problem here is a lack of self-control. Just remind yourself that you're going to regret cheating.
  16. there will be no warp drives Well, yeah, I just said that
  17. The game is trying to be faithful to the original, to have a story that isn't Nova's just feels faithless to original If we wanna be faithful, then getting to planet 7 should help unlock a new warp drive. But that won't happen.
  18. In the previous paragraph, you said this would still be limiting though. Maneuvering about when your impulse only faces away from the general direction of Kerbol (or Kerbin) could be quite difficult, or at least more difficult than using a Kraken drive that has much more acceleration and can face any direction. Point being that Kraken drives and solar sails are apples and oranges.
  19. Telling from the addition of procedural wings to remove the tedium of joining wing segments and the approachability of the new tutorials, this won't mean "we're removing the effects of the atmosphere on thrusters" or anything along those lines. They're simply streamlining what KSP 1 horribly failed at. (In regards to the title, more accessibility does not mean less challenge - the two are completely disconnected)
  20. Why don't we remove any form of procedural terrain while we're at it? Point being that exploring a planet once you've dropped from space is just as important as space itself. Being able to explore oceans would open up a ton of possibilities and make developing water vehicles much more meaningful.
  21. Exactly. It's not like Michael Collins is jumping out from behind a bush to beg for attention, It's just something a bit bigger than a rock that you will need to actively seek out if you want to see it. There's no question about immersion, that's gonna be maintained.
  22. All they do is serve an opportunity for the player to write their head-canon down in world, it's not worth wasting the tight space.
  23. I don't think we need Nova to have a good story.
