Anyone else worried that KSP 2 will be bad?
Bej Kerman replied to Omni122's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I mean you say that but *waves hands in the general direction of the Internet*. The few images we've seen of a rocket in the VAB and in flight? Won't cut it, I want to see videos of where we're spending most of the time in the game because I'm not convinced that there shouldn't be anything to hide. -

I'd really like to believe KSP 2 will come out good, but I don't feel comfortable about how tight-lipped the devs are. Couldn't hurt to share things like the map view and a player assembling a rocket. -

I wonder how many people will walk in thinking that interstellar colonization won't require too much infrastructure and thought ahead. -

I'm not that paranoid, but it's crazy how little of the game we've seen in several years. is there something T2/Intercept doesn't want us to see? -
I'll send digital cookies if you can make a reusable one without spaceplanes and using only SRBs.

what gamemodes would you like in ksp2?
Bej Kerman replied to jastrone's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Well I don't like the idea of multiplayer strictly being co-op or battle driven; MP should be driven by the players' actions. -
i was able to come up with Kasterborous, Trander and Radiant Pillar (fitting for a nuclear vessel).

Then just let me drag-and-drop 2 maneuvers. I just want to orbitally bombard my colonies for god's sake! All those purple and blue buttons hurt my brain. It's literal rocket science, don't feel bad if you don't manage to get the correct trajectory first time.

Auto Pilot/Auto Maneuver would be nice
Bej Kerman replied to Dientus's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I am very much not a member of the realism squad. KSP2 must be a fun game first and foremost, if realism gets in the way then realism has to move over. Optional Commnet it is then, I think autopilots should remain mods. You can still have an autopilot, but newbies will still have to learn how space flight works, as most of them to my knowledge don't immediately start the game getting mods. Usually that's saved until they can find their way around the game. Trying to horseshoe autopilots into the base game (and the career progression) won't prevent newbies playing in the sandbox mode from avoiding having to learn how orbits work. -
Or because you deployed the legs in the third most dangerous situation a spacecraft can endure

What is the best mod you don't use, and why?
Bej Kerman replied to Superfluous J's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think they have a good reason to think that. The stock work has been spotty, slow and there are gaps in the pars selection that have yet to be fixed. -
I say the "Overwatch" mountains should just keep the current name K2.
-
Besides that, planes would be easier if there were better tutorials, which KSP 2 should come with. As well as looking outwards to interstellar travel, the team should also keep their priorities in balance and enhance the aircraft aspects of the game - including providing ingame tutorials and documentation beyond a couple KSPedia pages.
-
I'm not sure anyone expects a level of challenge below succeeding every one in fifty times from KSP.

So what? Ori series, Rust, Forest, Cuphead and dozens of crappy indie-horros were also build with Unity. Unity is game engine, only instrument. "I see lots of bad musicians playing violins, therefore other musicians using violins should 'upgrade' to something better." Saying that would be stupid, but not many people see that in saying Squad should 'upgrade' from Unity.

The challenge factor where would be landing on a body with practically 0Gs without fine inputs.
