  1. Welcome to the forums! I assume you're talking about symmetry. For that it's X to increase and Shift-X to decrease. There is a full list of KSP key bindings here
  2. I decided to not do a full report of my shuttle mission, because I just did a Minmus landing mission yesterday and wanted to write about it without having to do two reports. So here's the combined report!
  3. To be fair, the Vector is based on the IRL RS-25 engine, which is already pretty overpowered. I mean, 1,860 kN of thrust and 366 seconds of Isp ASL with a gimbal range of 10.5 degrees is pretty silly.
  4. Double-banned for talking about time, and needing help.
  5. Good job @MaverickSawyer! Here's to another year of facepalms
  6. I was reading a news article about China landing a probe on the 'dark side of the Moon'. Hnnnnnnnnnnnng Then the author attempted to rectify this glaring mistake by saying 'it's called the dark side not because it's actually dark but because humans know very little about that side'. Hnnnnnnnng again. No, the correct astronomical term is 'far side'.
  7. I believe it was @5thHorseman. Brilliant video nonetheless!
  8. Oooooooo! New KIS containers! I spy 1.25m and Mk3 sized long and short versions....niiiiiice
  9. I flew to Minmus in my Scout spacecraft with a combination rover/lander. 27 days outbound from Kerbin...Val and Melbin must have played a lot of Scrabble. I'll land tomorrow.
  10. MissingHistory is going nuclear! Great job @Snark, @JadeOfMaar, and of course @Porkjet!
  11. @EvermoreAlpaca did a Jool ascent a year or so back, using stock props. I don't know if it would be possible using only rocket engines.
  12. I rarely play career mode, but I have a sandbox game in which I act all serious and real-space-program-y. While it isn't a particularly complicated or difficult build, I'm very proud of my Kraken V launch vehicle. A real workhorse! Heavy-lifting, stable and adaptable - it has two different upper stages that can be swapped out depending on the mission.
  13. Hi again. Sorry for the longish wait - I had all of the images ready but just couldn't be bothered to go through the tedium of uploading them to Imgur. Here they are now! Despite what Elon calls a 'parachute anomaly' the mission accomplished all of its objectives (the recovery of the vehicle was a secondary objective). I also have a shuttle mission ready for its report to be written - that will come tomorrow. For now, enjoy!
  14. Another cool thing in KSP's files: under GameData/Squad/Sounds, there's a file called 'editorloop01.ogg' which I guess was supposed to be music for the VAB/SPH. It's pretty interesting!
  15. First, which mod is it exactly? If it's a specific issue with a part from a mod, it's best that you query this on that mod's thread in Addon Releases.
  16. I've now been playing KSP for over a year! A whole lap around the sun! In that time I've built my first rocket... ...landed on the Mun and Minmus... ...and built a space station. And I haven't even been beyond Kerbin's SOI yet! There's so much more to explore! For such an awesome game (keep going SQUAD!), I couldn't have asked for a better community. You guys are awesome! I hope to keep playing for the next year and beyond, so here's to another year of jumping for joy, laughing, crying, exploding, spinning out of control, mashing spacebar, quickloading, reverting to launch, forgetting parachutes, destroying the launchpad, running out of fuel, getting out and pushing, timewarping, enabling infinite fuel, troubleshooting bugs, installing mods, waiting for updates, adding moar boosters, running out of RAM, docking without RCS, flying overbuilt spacecraft and of course hanging out with everyone on this forum! Happy new year from me and everyone in my Kerbal universe!
  17. Nice! Reminds me of Concorde...shame we can’t do the droop-snoot in KSP
  18. The rocket was landing pretty full, and those KRE legs are all kinds of strong. Is there a setting or something to adjust the crash tolerance of buildings?
  19. Indeed... Actually, once I managed to stick the landing even though the pad didn't survive
  20. I found that out several times when trying to land my Falcon 9 on @Omega482's landing pad...
  21. Looks nice! I've been wanting to try out an Unmanned Before Manned-style mod for a while -- I'll give it a go!
  22. Ah, lovely. Thanks @TriggerAu! An essential mod in my save
  23. Literally, it's a matter of getting into low Kerbin orbit, then waiting for the Mun to rise above the horizon and burning. Stop burning when you get an encounter. If your initial encounter is too far from the Mun, you can create a manoeuvre node about halfway along your trajectory and fiddle with the handles until you get something you're happy with. And the stock tutorials are a bit meh in my opinion. If you go onto Youtube and type in 'ksp how to get to the mun' or something similar, you'll find a lot more help.
  24. And if EE did support mods, then they'd have to be hosted for download as 'official' expansions for the game or something -- good luck getting all of the mod authors to agree to that.
