  1. NOOOOO! Whatever new job you end up in, good luck! If you ever return, I hope I (and many others) will still be here!
  2. The Wolfhound was just too overpowered and didn't fit in with the base game engines. Quoted from @Maxsimal's devblog: It just had too many benefits over other engines, without having many downsides. As for the Skiff, it was too good in too many categories. Maxsimal explains it best. EDIT: Link to the full devblog: here
  3. Good to see the details! The Wolfhound was too OP for me, so I never used it. I'll give it a try now!
  4. Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Thank you SQUAD for 1.6! I'll find a place on the tree for these.
  5. I think he knows, he posted on the preview thread about it when it was posted. @IgorZ are you working on it?
  6. I made a cute little rover with the Mk2 Lander Can's new bare variant. This will likely see service on the Mun. Jeb approves:
  7. This looks fantastic for spaceplane re-entries! Once again, @Snark does not disappoint! Downloaded...won't need to use an angled probe core as a control point anymore
  8. I have updated to version 1.6, and it is all kinds of awesome! Look forward to some cool stuff with the new features in the near future. For now, have this short update. I decided that I should reload the quicksave before I landed my space shuttle, as I felt that I could do a better job at landing at KSC. Enjoy!
  9. @damonvv I don't see any issues with the KRE landing legs in 1.6. However, the Octopus engine makes no sound. I don't know if it's the same on all of the engines from Tundra though.
  10. Does it? It has a grey surface to represent where the Space Shuttle's HRSI tiles were located, but doesn't appear to have any thermal tiles. I personally think that these parts should stay the same, but if SQUAD wants to add variants then they should just add on to the current models rather than outright replace them.
  11. I think the aircraft parts look fine. They’re Porkjet parts (who pretty much invented the stock style) so in my opinion they’re fine. Revamping parts just for the sake of revamping parts is not a good idea.
  12. You could try verifying your files through Steam/GoG Galaxy.
  13. Absolutely. Since Kerbals now have animations both in the command pod and on EVA, EVA chair animations need to be a thing, just to complete the set. This is also a great idea. I've always thought of Kerbals as easily distracted, so this would fit perfectly.
  14. Some great insights here! So, to condense your detailed analysis down to a couple of bullet points: --Satellite orbits are generally more eccentric than in my diagram. --Four satellites is unnecessary for this - you can use two without many issues. --One satellite can even suffice, but only for a limited period of time.
  15. AGAIN? I probably won't be watching the webcast anyway. SpaceX launch without booster landing = meh.
  16. @ShadowElite I had a problem involving one of my flags disappearing and I thought that I would share the solution. This is just one of those random bugs that pops up now and then and as KSP's codebase is rather messy, it's quite difficult for SQUAD to fix. Now, onto the solution: 1. Find a previous version of your save's persistent.sfs file (it should be under KSP > saves > your savegame) that has the flag(s) in it. 2. Open up the current version of your save's persistent.sfs. Find the segment in the old version containing the data for the vessel. It should start with: } VESSEL { and end with } Leave the next VESSEL segment as it is, including the bracket just before 'VESSEL'. 3. Copy and paste that into the current save. 4. Enjoy your flags brought back from the dead. I do hope that made sense. Please ask if you don't understand!
  17. Nope. That was intended as a joke, as everyone else on the thread was posting in exactly the same way
  18. Welcome back It's always good to have even MOAR nice people to talk to.
  19. That still makes it more efficient than the Poodle, but that engine is still useful for landers as it has a short profile. I’d reckon that’s a good ballpark for the Wolfhound.
