  1. That is a pretty extensive Mun base! I’ve often considered trying out Pathfinder but its size and complexity have put me off. Also, what mod did you use for the landing pad?
  2. I mean, obviously they're building a segment of the Starship outside, in the middle of a field
  3. Banned for discussion of post-to-rep ratios.
  4. @Omega482 I thought that I’d bring this thread back, because all of this stuff looks fantastic! It’s using stock textures to reduce RAM footprint, right?
  5. Extract the mod’s zip file: there should be a GameData folder in there. You want to put the contents of that folder into your KSP directory’s GameData. So the folder structure should look like this: KSP > GameData > Cormorant Aeronology, Module Manager, Firespitter Core, Squad, SquadExpansion (if you have the DLC) I hope that made sense, and welcome to the forums!
  6. My family is literally getting ready to put our Christmas tree up right now. Just quickly browsing the forums before I have to go and put decorations on it. Every year we go a little bit OTT with Christmas - we always end up with an enormous 7 foot tree

  8. Yes! I'm back again! The space station has a ton of RCS thrusters and monopropellant tanks in its storage module that are taking up space, so I decided to send up a shuttle mission to bring those back to Kerbin and deliver 2 MMUs that might be useful in the future for adding more modules to the station (or just for mucking around in zero-G).
  9. Not really in KSP, but I fixed the spatial anomaly that caused a flag on the Mun to disappear. I found the last quicksave sfs file that had the flag in it, and copied and pasted the VESSEL segment from that into the persistent.sfs of the save game. So that's all good now. I thought that updating to 1.5 had caused it, but apparently I made a named quicksave after the 1.5 update which still had the flag in it, so it must have been one of those random one-off errors that I'll never see again. Ah, KSP Bill also did an EVA in one of the MMUs recently delivered to the space station, and was able to hold position for long enough so that Rosgar in the cupola was able to take a pic. (The MMU is from Cormorant Aeronology, in case you were wondering )
  10. I don't think I'm a hardcore enough KSP player to play with RO. It's interesting and I've watched a ton of videos on it, but for me it's too realistic and that sucks some of the fun out of it.
  11. Yeah, and engines have limited numbers of restarts.
  12. I missed that . I do agree that 1000 bugs is definitely an exaggeration too.
  13. Maybe you should not just play in RSS, but install the full RO suite! I've never tried it but it certainly seems interesting. And I'm approaching my 1-year KSP anniversary too - it's on the 25 of December
  14. I brought STS-4 back from the space station, but due to my bad piloting a control system glitch we overshot the KSC at an altitude of 50km and ended up ditching in the ocean ~200km out from the space centre. Pics to come tomorrow in a mission report (I should probably stop plugging my thread ) And my first ever flag on the Mun, planted by Jeb ages ago, mysteriously disappeared . At least the Aquarius' descent stage is still there.
  15. ^^This. Though it's not his video, it's @ShadowZone's.
  16. I docked a shuttle to my station yesterday, and it took 10 minutes of quickloading and messing around with SAS modes. Because the docking port on a shuttle is at the front of the cargo bay, it's off-axis and that makes it really annoying to dock. Does anyone have a working method that you are willing to share for docking a CA shuttle to a space station? Also, a side note: The new manoeuvre node system introduced in 1.5 seems to disagree with the monopropellant OMS engines in this mod, but I think a lot of the issues with that new system are going to be fixed in 1.6.
  17. So SpaceX has been contracted by the military to launch a satellite so heavy that they won't have the margin to land the booster? Wouldn't a Falcon Heavy be a better choice for this?
  18. Good afternoon (or evening, or morning) KSP Forum-goers! This report now comes to you through the OuterNet relay network in Kerbo-Synchronous Orbit (and totally not some nameless comsat in geosynchronous orbit). Note: I actually have two reports to write this weekend; this one, and a shuttle logistics mission (mission STS-4). I still need to bring the shuttle back down from orbit, so I'll post that report tomorrow. Anyway, on with the report
  19. Have a look in the OP. I’m pretty sure that most of the major life support mods are compatible, but DON’T try installing more than one life support mod at once!
  20. Banned for using a comma instead of a full-stop at the end of your sentence.
