Cool, I wish you luck with this project and I'll enjoy blowing even more things up in KSP
-
This sounds like it would be pretty cool if you pull it off well. Keep in mind that some modders don't like it when their mods are put in a pack so ask modders for permission first. As for crafts I think a lot people would be able to contribute. ALso you can make it work well with a multiplayer mod that would be great.

No problem, just beware that it's a test version and might break.

Hmm... the kerbal way to go about this is MOAR BOOSTERS, aka making a larger launcher. If I remember correctly, 0.23.0 was before the aerodynamics was changed, so you can make you rocket as wide as you want. The more elegant way to go about this is to send up each piece one at a time and dock them in LKO. Out of curiosity, why are you using 0.23.0?

I think think would fit the bill. It basically projects the nav ball on the screen.

Mod Install Questions (RESOLVED)
Jas0n replied to SpookyShark73's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Also, IIRC some modders package it so that it's ModName/GameData/ModName, in which case you copy the second ModName folder to the KSP GameData folder. -
There's a test release on Github: https://github.com/gomker/kerbpaint/releases

Mod Install Questions (RESOLVED)

You should not have any Gamedata folders inside your gamedata folder. -
Nice looking planes, can you provide the list of mods required?
-
Infernal Robotics works. Are you sure you installed the right version? Follow the directions here for the 1.3 version. Also one of USI mods adds a robotic crane that's seperate from IR.

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
Jas0n replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm pretty sure I did. Even if I didn't, I don't it would have caused that much of a difference. MJ was showing about 1.8 TWR while KER was showing 9+ if I recall correctly. Nevermind I solved it. Apparently KER was set to Duna for some reason.... I must've forgotten to change it back. -
Let's be honest, if Jeb is any indication of how successful kerbals act, the Colonel would be hyped about nuclear reactors. Also on a side note, real life military vehicles have tanks of fuel, tons of explosives, and nuclear reactor, all next to human operators, so honestly the kerbal way is safer.

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
Jas0n replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So I've been running into a weird problem with KER. The TWR it shows is a lot higher than the actual amount. The weird thing is that I also have mechjeb installed and it seems to be showing the correct TWR. The delta-v data shown by both mods seem to be accurate. I'll add screenshots tomorrow. The version of KER I have is 1.1.3.0, most of my mods are installed through CKAN. I think the issue might be related to KWrocketry engines, because all the times I noticed the issue was when using KW engines, but that might just be due to me not using any other engines. Modlist: (I don't know if I did the spoiler correctly so if I didn't can someone fix it for me please) -
The time is the total burn time. It isn't really related to delta-v. The delta-v takes into account mass, as in that if you have 1000m/s of delta-v, you can increase your velocity by 1000m/s when you're in orbit. The problem you're having is that your TWR is too low, as @WanderingKid explains.

There is a mod out there with procedurally generated solar systems. I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head, but I think that in addition with KSPI would spice things up a bit.

From what I've read in the forums, i think the console versions were taken off the stores while Blitworks makes the new port.

There should be a mod which makes plane first in career.
Jas0n replied to AtleSt's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions

Display name as in your forum user name? There's a thread where you can ask the mods to change it. Keep in mind it's one time only.

Moho Kerbstone 1 humiliating test flight failure :-)

It kind of reminds me of the M2? cargo bays in B9 Aerospace.

Really? I didn't know, my bad.

There is no "max part count" per se. The limiting factor is your computer specs and your tolerance of lag.

For autopiloting planes Mechjeb isn't the best. It's more oriented towards rockets. I would try Atmosphere Autopilot or Pilot Assistant, but I have not used either mod so I don't know which is better.
