TheProtagonists
This mod adds 100 celestial bodies in a cluster orbiting far from the Sun while preserving the stock system. Designed for modded late game exploration, colonisation and other wackiness. Ever since the Kerbalkind learned how to properly look at the night sky, a bright blue light accompanied by a few flickering spots among the stars had always intrigued them. Throughout history, this realm in the deep sky has been associated with mythologies, the Kraken, the multiverse and snacks. As time passed, they realise that the greatest treasure the universe have to offer is right in their backyard - a neighboring cluster centered around a blue star with multiple yellow and red dwarfs guarding the outer reaches of the system. The more they looked, the more astonishing this system becomes: habitable worlds appeared one by one, documentations of ring systems became more and more detailed, the resolutions of images got higher and higher, and even a brand new protostar had been found. However, questions and mysteries started to pop up among the excitement: an abnormally high amount of friendly worlds near the quaternary red dwarf system, an unyielding planetary nebula around a main sequence star, the capture of some allegedly artificial signals, and an exotic stellar remnant with unknown composition. Nevertheless, this cluster remained silent but inviting, and space programs all over Kerbin began missions toward the stars. After countless missions to Jool, the spirit of the Kerbalkind was ignited once again to venture into The World Beyond, and this system is aptly named The Dawn Cluster. One day, all the boundaries will fall. Star map TWB does not replace the stock system and no changes has been made to it. Star emblems Inner Dawn System Dawn - An A3V class blue star, the center of the cluster that every planet and star orbits. It is quite a lot more massive and a lot brighter than Kerbol. The space near it harbors a large amount of planets. Reveal hidden contents Tengu - a world extremely close to the Dawn in a retrograde orbit. Hyperion - the only planet known this close to a star with an atmosphere and magnetic field, has a large field of auroras. Horu - beautiful yet hellish heavy rocky planet covered with lava oceans and have a dense and thick and tall atmosphere. Keter - a rocky moon that once had water on it’s surface but still retained an oxygen atmosphere. Summit - Eve sized maroon-purplish rocky planet with extensive canyons and mountains extend beyond its thin and low atmosphere. It may once had a moon that got crushed into a small ring. Gersemi - a large desert planet engulfed in sand storms but also have some oasis scattered on the surface. Has an oxygen atmosphere. Icosahedron - a small blue rock. Faith - a small but almost completely oceanic world, save for some small islands on its equator. Paradise - a super Kerbin that is much larger than Kerbin but less dense, resulting in similar gravity (about 1.2g). Has liquid oceans and a slightly denser and higher atmosphere with a composition almost identical to Kerbin. Harbors a large ring system and multiple friendly moons. Fantasy - small (200km radius) but life supporting moon inside the rings. Bahamut - a large habitable moon with an magnetic field (which means auroras). The landmass and ocean and roughly balanced and has several volcanos Asgard - a tiny (~85km radius) impossibly hospitable world Heimdallr - Laythe-like tropical and oceanic moon of vibrant color featuring land chunks and archipelagos, surrounded by a calm oxygen atmosphere. Horizon - slightly more colorful mountain-and-canyon moon on the edge of Paradise's SOI, with a thin oxygen atmosphere. Vindication - very colorful subsatellite. Hikari - pink gas giant with a *very cool* (and big) ring system. Moun - very small almost spherical moon deep inside the gravity well. Mirage - mostly featureless desert moon in the middle of the rings, has an atmosphere with sandstorms. Yggdrasil - a curious moon, it has plants and other complex exotic life forms that do not depend on oxygen and carbon dioxide, and survives in its atmosphere composed with nitrogen, ammonia and other noble gases, with an ocean composed “partially” of water. Sandalphon - another warm habitable moon with liquid water oceans and oxygen atmosphere, orbits just next to the Hiraki’s rings Baldr - small silver rocky subsatellite. Ebott - medium mountainous moon in a very inclined orbit Zhuque - a partially habitable moon with life in its crayons and valleys while the higher plateaus remained deserts. Basin - a cooler moon further from Hikari, contains methane lakes with a stormy atmosphere. Cerberus - small rugged rocky subsatellite. Wyvern - a blue rocky dwarf in the asteroid belt. Guardian - grey Ike like small moon with flat oceans. Kaze - the second gas giant with a concentrated ring system, beautiful deep blue color with moderate storms. Baihu - Tylo like moon (but larger) with a series of very interesting and complex geological feature instead of just boring craters. Ve - small moonlet that shares the same orbit with Baihu. Epik - a geologically active and fragmented moon with of lava like fluid on the surface, has short and moderate atmosphere. Ouroboros - mountainous rocky moon in polar orbit. Bi - Very small hunk of rock Sagen - (somewhat) titan like world, features a calm and dense atmosphere and lakes composed mainly of water and ammonia. Yama - purple and green gas giant with distinct stripes and violent storms, it has a very small and thin ring system. Centurion - mountainous moon with craters and other formations. Zen - while it’s covered in ice caps of frozen glaciers, the geological activity of allowed some liquid water lakes to exist and maintained a thin water vapor/oxygen atmosphere Xuanwu - green and unassuming rocky moon Leviathan - a hostile world that is presumably a failed gas giant. It comes with a extremely high, thick and stormy atmosphere and a high gravity, making it very, very difficult to leave (this is basically Tellumo, Super Tylo and Catullus combined: 2.3g gravity, 230km atmosphere and 14atm ASL pressure). Hai - subsatellite in polar orbit. Qinglong - a world mostly covered in frozen tundra, a trench of the equator is barely kept liquid as it’s atmosphere struggle to keep some heat on the surface. Infinity - a silver frozen world with distinct canyons, ice caps (for some reason) and other geological features. Noir - A very dark rocky moon. Border - super long period comet. Oblivion System Oblivion - A new protostar orbiting Dawn from a distance with a big accretion disk (which is basically a colossal ring system) and plenty of asteroids. Despite it's unstable system, a few planets have already formed around it. Reveal hidden contents Kaamo - a rocky planet (no atmosphere) with large ring system of it’s own and a lot of asteroids. Kroadwell - an cooling ice giant with a very small ring. Nirvana - a somewhat Eeloo like icy moon. Traverse System Traverse - A M1V orangish red dwarf shrouded by a immense nebula, it orbits roughly in the middle point of Dawn's SOI and holds up a Quadruple system with an very large amount of densely packed habitable worlds. Fragment - A very small M9V red dwarf orbiting Traverse in close binary. Due to it's size it has little effect on the overall structure of the system. Reveal hidden contents Labyrinth - tidally locked world with a scorched continent and water on the farside, despite this, a good amount of the surface is surprising not hostile and harbors non-oxygen dependent exotic life. Bishamenten - tidally locked half ice, half water tidally locked world, with a larger habitable area than Labyrinth and has liquid water and oxygen atmosphere. Adeon - a desert world with some oceans, small amount of plant life scatters with the dunes, has small rings (basically Gersemi with more water and green). Seraph - a desert moon with cracks flowing lava. Promise - ocean planet scattered with a large amount of archipelagos but has no big chunks of land masses. Raem - medium sized moon of double tasty color, while there are no life here, it’s oxygen atmosphere and temperate temperature made it the only rocky world that can be walked on without special protection (and the only rocky moon that has auroras). Matterhorn - an almost habitable world with large concentrated continents of mountain ranges (basically Summit but with water and oxygen). Brynhildr - a warm tranquil world slightly larger than Kerbin, this terra have just about any geological features that can be named, save for ice caps and volcanoes. Overture - another colorful habitable super earth that is in many ways similar to Paradise, with global auroras (sort of like Eden in BK) and a wide ring of distinctly concentrated areas, it’s larger than Paradise and thus have higher gravity, but is still less dense compared to Kerbin. Collide - a slightly smaller super terra in the rings, orbits Overture. Parallel - a slightly smaller kerbin sized terra in a polar orbit Collide. Tack - small rocky moon (the deepest stacked world yet). Amaterasu - a tropical super Kerbin with a fairly dense atmosphere that caused its relatively high surface temperature. Possesses auroras and yet another ring. Hakurei - a beautiful and diverse terra currently holding the highest score in the Kerbin Similarity Index, being only a few thousandth points above other habitable worlds. Jeanne - another majestic terra that is almost identical to Hakurei, with equally colorful surface plant lives. In co-orbital configuration with Hakurei. Sora - enormous gentle giant with a smoothing gradient (cyan blue purple pink yellow or something like that) possibly supporting exotic airborne life. Mirai - a terra moon of life bearing valley ranges and canyons, but they have since find a way onto the highland plateaus. Megumi - an unassuming desert moon with some rivers and lakes, turns out it is rich in just about every type of resources. Nishimiya - a once lifeless moon full of craters and scars that had been revived to harbor a friendly environment and life. Miyamizu - a terrestrial moon featuring both mountains ranges, calm grass fields and tropical islands. A remain of a large impact is also visible through the terrain, for which might have brought life to this world. Lyria - a world with distinct biomes resting onto different islands, making it looks like a map from some sort of JRPG. Yukino - a defrosting moon recovering from its ice age, as the ice caps melt away, colorful lands emerges. Rin - tiny gas dwarf moon, has its own rings. Mabel - tiny terra (but slightly smaller than Asgard) that is theorized to be artificially constructed. Ori - a small, dense, pure white sphere that is extremely reflective. Ranco - grey-silverish moonlet that is somehow spherical. Frisk - small but also very dense retrograde rock made of unknown compositions. Shima - small gas “giant” with a normal sized ring. Pooh - a moon warmed up by tidal forces and have a global forest. Carnell - a very Laythe like cool moon, silver islands protrudes over a vast sea, maybe able to house life very soon™. Porter - a moon with ever changing landscapes and exotic life Young - a world with fields full of fields and hills of exotically colored plants (orange, yellow, pink) and colorful seas. Perry - an aqua color rocky submoon. Odin - once a temperate world, this blue planet is currently in the middle of a global ice age, but some volcanic activities continues. Daedalus - geologically active planet with massive active hot springs of a mixture of water and ammonia. Tiamat - long period comet (certainly not a reference to some another comet named Tiamat). Ascension System Ascension - A small M5V red dwarf orbiting Traverse from afar, shining a second dim light onto Traverse’s worlds, and also hosts some planets itself. Eternal - A tiny M8V red dwarf orbiting Ascension in binary Reveal hidden contents Q'uq'umatz - a habitable super Kerbin with swamp like land forms. Harmony - a colder habitable terra with a larger ice cap and many color dunes covered by glaciers and tundras, also has a wide ring. Wall System Wall - A dim T4 class brown dwarf with only one companion. Reveal hidden contents Nyarlathotep - initially thought to be a small carbon planet, the crust and ocean of this world is later found to be made of mostly unknown elements. Eon System Eon - An outlying G7V yellow dwarf near the edge of the SOI of Dawn Reveal hidden contents Wallnut - a brown rocky planet and the first in the entire Dawn cluster to be actually named after some sort of edibles... Everest - a mountain world with most of it covered in white hills and plateaus. Newell - a j1407b like super gas giant with RINGS™. Iris - a habitable moon found outside Eon’s habitable zone, it probably maintained its temperature due to Newell’s Tidal forces. Kestrel - icy world with liquid water deep under the global ice layer. Barrier - VERY FAST spinning exotic stellar remnant orbiting Eon, and one of the most mysterious objects within the vicinity of Dawn. THE WORLD BEYOND IS CURRENTLY NOT READY FOR REVIEW AS MANY ASPECTS ARE STILL BEING DEVELOPED/REFINED. PLEASE DO NOT REVIEW THIS MOD UNTIL THIS NOTICE IS REMOVED. CC 4.0 BY-NC-SA INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SUPPORTED MODS The Gold Standard: TWB provides configs for the resources added in TheGoldStandard, so you can mine gold and unobtainium far from home! Texture Replacer: you can take off your helmet and breathe in any alien world with a dense oxygen atmosphere. RECOMMENDED MODS Near future technologies: provides a large assortment of parts for your spacecrafts. USI Catalog: Orion drives and warp drives to help you travel between the stars. Poodmund's Milky Way Skybox: extremely nice looking skybox that is used in all the screenshots shown above. Interstellar Extended: for those of you who want to cover interstellar distances in a realistic way. BetterTimeWarp: to make your interstellar journeys feel slightly faster and far more bearable. ESLD Jump Beacons: an alternative method to travel between the stars. COMPATIBILITY TWB is compatible with the following planet packs: Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul (GPO) Outer Planets Mod (OPM) Galileo's Planet Pack (GPP) Grannus Expansion Pack (GEP) Extrasolar* Other_Worlds Reboot (OWR) New Horizons Before Kerbin After Kerbin Whirligig World TWB is NOT meant to played with Principia, but you can install both and see what happens *Extrasolar is known to break the scatterer sunflares in TWB. Check page 9 in this thread for a workaround. KNOWN ISSUES The resource configs in this mod could make the stock KerbNet unusable (crafts that should have KerbNet access don't). This is a problem with KSP itself, and the best solution is to use the mod SCANSat and Waypoint Manager instead, both of which provides better functionality compared to the KerbNet. Expand It's not supposed to be orbiting Kerbol, It's meant to be another star cluster and they can't make it not orbit it. Though, @TheProtagonists set the mode of the star's orbits to 0. Also, @TheProtagonists could add KSS compatibility and make dawn orbit and it could be the K65 cluster!

Alaygrounds
@The Cuttlefish Empire has made a meta planet pack with GPO, GPP, TWB, KSS, The Imperial Planet Pack, and some more. So it's possible.

Alaygrounds
And I'm making one with a lot of star packs to make several star clusters all incredibly far away I'm adding TWB and it'll be 4.2x(10^18) meters away. About as far as the actual Proxima Centauri. I.E. you need either USI or KSPI-E warp drives to get there.
HeronRocketry
Wait, is this a realistic model of what a star cluster is? If so, congrats to the creator for considering real life stuff like that. Also, can’t wait to play this.

Bonbo
Whenever I install the mod the game says Kopernicus wasn't able to load the custom planetary system due to an exception in the loading process I have made sure to use the correct Kopernicus 1.3.1-9 for my 1.3.1 version game , but the problem persists Thanks for replying in advance Edited May 29, 2018 by Bonbo
billybob579
This mod is just absurdly cool. I am in awe, and after clicking around through all the planets, I can't wait to start sending ships out there. One question though, you say it's compatible with GPP_Secondary but don't mention GPP; is it also compatible? I've also noticed that a small handful of the planets appear nearly pitch-black even in direct sunlight, but I've not had a chance yet to test whether it's associated with EVE, scatterer, or just some installation mistake on my part, but I'll try to follow up if I can narrow it down. DarkSlimus
This mod looks awesome !!!! I don't take it now cause I'm already at the RAM limit, but plan to upgrade my RAM in some month and just restart a fresh career so I have some time behind me. Can I suggest some mod compatibility : - ResearchBodies -> It make sense cause the this system is far away and before land on an exoplanet you must discover it - Final Frontier (optional) -> Kerbals need some rewards for so long dangerous journey when my RAM would be upgraded I will let a try on this mod anyway
