Will YOU be on the first BFR moon flyby ?

So, following @James Kerman's idea, i am curious to know how the feelings are in the forum.

Imagine the BFR is ready, has successfully absolved its first hops, an orbital flight, maybe a high orbit or even unmanned moon flyby. I think it is unrealistic to assume more; but it seems the concept works. Now someone offers you a ticket for a moon flyby. The risks are as calculable as any risk on a new rocket's flight is.

Make up you mind, take a few seconds. Would you go ?

Short explanation appreciated but not necessary.

 

ps.: I won't offer a ticket. I don't have the powder ...

Yes, why not, assuming its safe. They are looking for an 'artist' and, uhh, i hope i improved by the time it launches.

But i love the Moon and rockets and i play alot of Kerbal so that means i can be the mission specialist lol.

I too am reluctant to take on risky stuff, but not because I'm afraid of dieing. I'm afraid of ending up in a wheelchair.

A mishap during a rocket launch, slamming into the surface of the Moon, or Earths atmosphere is not likely to end up with me in a wheelchair, so I'll start to pack my carry-on.

When do we leave?

Pretty clear until now, 6:1.

I won't fly. Sitting still for a week is not my strength and there is nothing i could do in the meantime. Ok, there are 3 or 4 books that still want to be read. But i doubt i could really relax on such a trip. I'd pass my ticket on.

BFR is actually quite roomy (1000 cubic meters!), i doubt you will be sitting for a week...

Voted no because I have a fear of dying, annndddd while being on the first BFR flight to the moon would be absolutely mind-blowing, I would rather....not take the risk.

Not when the rocket and procedure is so new, and while I'm this young.

See, I'd have to thoroughly scrutinize the one offering me a ticket to ride a huge explosive to the moon. If, for any reason, the ticket-holder isn't going: NOPE. And considering this:

But hey, since you're not going anyway... why the free tickets? Why is it important to you? Why send me the ticket, among billions of options? See..? Scrutiny remains. Not even hypothetical about it LOL

I am just curious, since many people talk about it, the announcement was announced days ago, people start talking about whom to take on a ride. I myself wouldn't, i would pass the ticket on, because i can't sit still a week long and do nothing or little and the risk is too high for me. But i can perfectly understand that others want and just wandered how many actually would like to do the trip.

And i must say, i didn't expect so high a percentage, despite this being a space game simulation thing forum :-)

Which is perfectly okay.

I am currently somewhat skeptical of the safety of BFR, especially the landing procedure. I would trust Falcon 9 in a heartbeat at this point. If they can show that BFR is a safe as Falcon 9, I will want my seat. Remember, I will be a rocket engineer with a degree in it by 2023, and I will want a deep understanding of BFR in order to decide for myself how safe it is to fly on it. 

I would prefer to do primarily science and engineering on a space flight, and make art in the weekends and free time.
