Hello everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Issues Only Americans are Mad About! Today, we head back to the other coast, to my biggest city Dunsfield. With a population of almost 200,000 people, you;d expect traffic to be a little hairy. But it's been so much worse. Due to a huge traffic jam, my industry has been starving, unable to make enough products due to the lack of ore. And because of this, stores are struggling to get enough products. The city's economy now stands on a very thin line. All because of a traffic jam. So I decided to get to the bottom of this. Now, the traffic jam can be linked back to an interchange pre-built into the map. Apparently, some clever road designer thought it would be a good idea to put SPEED RAMPS NEXT TO TWO MAJOR HIGHWAYS. People were slowing at the ramps, and stopping before merging onto the other highway, backing up traffic to Center City. At first I tried a roundabout, but that failed. So I decided to get a bit more... creative with the interchange. I called the WWBT interchange, WWBT standing for What Was Bro Thinking. Before After! As you can see, traffic has gone down significantly! Mission success! Kerbalsaurus one, Cities: Skylines zero.

I have started a new city in Cities: Skylines! Set in a tropical environment, it's a more California-based city called San Delesco. The name itself is a amalgamation of San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Fransisco. As usual, we apparently start building our city in the middle of a national park. As always, I go with the Eco-friendly approach to powering my city. Afterwards, roads and zones are set up. For the setup of this area, I decided to make it like many exits on American highways. There's one pretty long road with stores, shops, and restaurants along it, surrounded by residential areas. Of course, when people move in, their also going to want jobs, so... ...time for delicious industry! Beautiful pollution now surrounds the area! Afterwards it's just the usual stuff. Beautiful expansion, growing your population, setting up schools and garbage, public services and such. So now, our city now looks like this! Looks fine I guess.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder (October 20th, 2023)
Kerbalsaurus replied to AtomicTech's topic in The Lounge
It looks cool, but from what happened to the Pokémon franchise I will try to stay cautious with this game. -
Is there a way to download kerbalizer?
Kerbalsaurus replied to The Wandering Cosmonaut 's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I may be very close to something here: This wasn't the actual installer, but I have a feeling it leads to something good. -

These are really cool screenshots! What TUFX config are you using? Is it one of the preset ones, or a custom one?- 63 replies

Beyond: Kerbalkind's History of Space Exploration
Kerbalsaurus replied to Kerbalsaurus's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
It appears for me that the time we all dread is almost upon us. That’s right, it’s almost time for back to school. What grade am I going into? I’ll give you a hint: it’s between pre-k and senior year. So this thread is about to move a little slower. I will say new missions are on the way though, as I have found a mouse suitable for playing KSP. -
I imagine that the world the Kerbals live in is a Kerbin united under a single government, called the United Kerbin Administration (UKA). The country's divided up into regions based upon landmass and culture. For example, the KSC is in the Africa-adjacent continent, called the Afinni Region. Now, this may sound like a perfect world, but the UKA's a very... shut in government. They typically sweep issues under the rug, and even have their secret organizations (e.g. The Secret Space Program). So that's I imagine the world of the Kerbals. As for the easter eggs, it's believed some are remnants of /////////////////////////////// while others are perhaps from //////////.

If you want some good lower-end visual mods, you can never go wrong with Stock Visual Enhancements (SVE). Of course, if you want a good atmosphere too, Spectra without Scatterer looks really good. I don’t suggest having both mods at once, because the game looks quite cluttered afterwords.

Me and my friend have been playing Heavenly Bodies together. Nothing’s scarier than when your life depends on the single click of a space bar.

Oh, I used Krita and Photoshop.

The symbol in the middle are two Kerbals, one a standard Kerbal and the other an SSP Kerbal. And this is a logo for the report itself, not the logo for the agency.

For Beyond, it's bright and colorful with "To boldly go" and Duna in the background showing its goal of scientific development. But The Secret Space Program is drab, with the Mun in the background and ominous message to indicate the darker goals of the program.

Beyond: Kerbalkind's History of Space Exploration
Kerbalsaurus replied to Kerbalsaurus's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
NOVA 4 - YEAR 3, DAY 198 Crew: Tito The day has come. On this historic day, the first civilian Kerbal and first space tourist will head off to Kerman Station, a huge milestone is private space travel and space travel as a whole. All of Kerbin watches as Tito Kerman climbs the launch tower and boards the MLO, which will go down in history as the first civilian space craft. In fact, and entirely civilian spacecraft. Nova 4 is launching atop L00ntech's RBS rocket, a true mish-mash of private companies. As the clock slowly counts down, many mission controllers tart to shift around a lot in their seats. On this mission, there is no room for error. One mistake, and Tito Kerman could burn on re-entry or be shot out into deep space forever. Preferably, we would like none of that to happen. We have ignition... ...and we have liftoff! Liftoff on Nova 4! Nova 4 has entered orbit! Tito Kerman reports that the view from up there is tremendous! Meanwhile, the RBS's EDL team prepare for the flyback of the booster. Re-entry Small issue, the RBS headed right for slope! EDL tries their best to guide it to flatter ground, but... ...to no avail. Sadly, the RBS toppled over and most of the upper half was destroyed. We're especially mad because right in the background is some ground where a safe landing could be done . Recovery teams are quickly dispatched to pick up what remains of the RBS. Back in orbit, preparations are made for the rendezvous burn to Kerman Station. And there isn't really much to say about that. Rendezvous burn In the dark of Kerbin's nightside, Nova 4 arrives within 50 meters of the space station. I t aligns itself with its docking port and... Hard dock confirmed! The hatch to the rest of station, and Tito is welcomed by all 6 of the crew members! He's shown his bed-closet, and unpacks for his 10 day stay. Tito's very ecstatic. How many Kerbals can say they've been on a vacation to space? A kerbal among legends However, there's one more thing he's signed up to do. After being given a few hours to settle in, Tito is brought back to the airlock with Valentina. He will in fact be going on an EVA! He suits up, and steps out, and lets go of the ladder. The view of Kerbin takes his breath away. He's seeing what only a select few Kerbals have ever seen. Valentina shortly after joins him. After about a 30 minute EVA, it's time for Tito and Val to head back into the spacecraft, which Tito described as "one of the saddest moments of his life. He settles in to the space station, and begins his 10 day trip literally on top of the world. -
Banned for knowing that.

I've decided to try to make a proper logo for my mission report "Beyond", encompassing both sides of the story. Whaddya think? I decided to go with the same minimalistic art style as the current logo. Thus, the Rimworld looking Kerbals.

Beyond: Kerbalkind's History of Space Exploration
Kerbalsaurus replied to Kerbalsaurus's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Hey everybody! So, great news: my mouse is broken! And you know how hard it is to play KSP without a mouse? VERY! But I have at least completed the next mission, so that should come tomorrow or so. -

Sorry a move hasn't really been made on this thread for over a week now. I've just been facing KSP burnout. I seem to always find myself opening the game and then feeling uninspired to play. I've entered what I call a stale period. All of the transfer windows are over 100 days away (except Moho but I hate Moho), and Kerman Station is really the only place to go with Kerbals. It's just kind of boring, ya know?
