  1. Hello Everyone I have a question regarding the reporting of a issue with a mod. My question is where do I find the log to send to a mod developer so they can get to the bottom of my issue. I have screen shots to forward on, any other things I could pass on to assist ? I see some modders always ask for a log, but I have no idea where it is or how to do this.   3. Hi, I recently downloaded the P.E.W mod with BDA and it seems to not work, all the files are there and I still can't see any of the weapons. Is there some sort of new update I haven't catched onto? KSP 1.12.3 MacOS Mac mini
  4. I have a rather basic install, Restock, Kerbal Planetary Base Inc, and Extraplanetary Launchpads. My game loads up without any issues, however, when I try to use EL, the UI doesn't allow me to select any crafts. I have rocket parts, liquid fuel and oxidizer stored on the orbital construction craft. I also have 2, 5 star engineers onboard. Please could someone explain what I am missing?
  5. The KSP community has created many AMAZING graphical mods using EVE(Enviromental Visual Enhancements), and I want to do the same. My question is, how do I use the mod to create a cloud layer? What should I do if I want to add citylights to a specific celestial body? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Can I get a suggestion on what mods to install to make the game look better? I use CKAN and the game version is 1.12.5. Keep in mind that my laptop has only 16gb RAM and an in-built graphics card. Something better than nothing. My lap overheats very fast so stick to the resource conservative mods.   7. So, I spent the afternoon building this: It's using two of the largest rotors in a contra-rotating arrangement, with four fuel cells as power. My problem is, it stubbornly refuses to leave the ground, at least without tipping over and ripping the rotor blades off. I suspect this is something to do with the contra-rotating rotors cancelling each others' motion out, but I'm not sure. Since I've seen a lot of successful helicopters being build since BG released, I'm asking the experts how to get my chopper into the air safely.
  8. I have a couple of mods on ksp and I want more but cant find any good ones that don't require a mod manager. I tried to install Ckan but my windows defender marked it as potentially harmful and even though tons of people use it I'm still a bit nervous to download it So I'm looking for either an easy to use mod manager or some basic mods like some better graphics and SOI boundaries being displayed.   11. The TUFX mod says that it saves the profiles to ksp.log, but I don't know where it is. I checked my logs folder and I couldn't find anything related to TUFX. I checked the actual TUFX folder for anything, but it failed. I really don't want to redo the TUFX profiles each time I load back into ksp. Was I supposed to do something or am I missing something?
  12. Hey everyone, a few months ago we showed off an alpha version of our mod manager for KSP2 (previously known as 2KAN). We have returned with our newest version, which is a complete rework from the ground up using C#. This new version brings some much needed uplift in both performance and looks, we've also added a few QoL changes, as well as themes support. We are also actively working on integrating KSP 1 support which we will release as an update at a later date. If you'd like to check it out, you can find it on our GitHub page. We are also looking for some people to test our MacOS and Linux versions as we have only done limited testing on these platforms, if you're interested, drop by our community discord channel. The project is fully open-sourced, so if you run into to any bugs or have anything you'd like to add, feel free to create an issue or open a pull request on the GitHub!
  13. (Sorry if my English is bad) I'm fairly new to KSP 2 and I was just wondering where I should go or what I should do at my skill level. I've been to both the Mun and Minmus before and have even been to both in 1 mission, I have a couple of satellites orbiting Kerbin, The Mun, Minmus and Duna but now I'm not sure what to do next. I've tried a couple of times at making a space station but I'm quite bad at rendezvous and docking, I could maybe just keep on trying to improve my docking skills or go to another planet but I'm not interested in the latter at the moment. I'd appreciate some cool ideas or tips on what to do and where to go from this point.

  15. Hello, My hp Victus laptop is running ksp really slow (5-6 fps) but I have a rtx 3050 ti laptop. I have had the same issue with War thunder and I forgot what I did and it worked but I have uninstalled the CPU graphic thingy I have restarted my pc, get the latest driver, set all my settings to be using the graphics card but nothing works. The sooner I can get this fixed the better. Also I don't want to mess with the BIOS or much of the driver stuff if necessary I have already searched for my problem and similar things come up but when I try them they don't work. my specs are: Ryzon 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics, 16 gigs of ram, 512 Samsung ssd, and rtx 3050 ti laptop GPU

  17. Even after about a four month experience with the original game before I got ksp2, I still do not understand how to rendezvous. I need help on understanding how to do it, because I feel like its a skill I have been lacking for a while now. I can do landing rendezvous easily, just got to get your craft's trajectory almost right next to the icon on the surface. However, orbital rendezvous seems... complicated. Could anyone give me a simple demonstration weather it be by video, image, or text? It would be a huge help.

  19. Hey everyone, I'd like to come up with a kind off FINAL patch, so that all data transmitters consumme much less EC when transmiting science... I'm so used to Kerbalism/RP-1, and that just doesn't make sense to me that a small antenna requires that much ec... Anyway, that's my wish, but it's beyond my DIY abitlies with Module Manager, so I'm asking to the Kraken Goddess and the community ! Thanks for your help
  20. Module Manager is a pretty useful mod for practically managing mods, basically, in sarbian's words: "is mod that let you write patch file that edit other part at load time. With is you can edit squad (and other mod) part without overwriting their file." Now, again, this will mostly be for Windows. Step 1: Go to this link, and scroll down slowly to where it will say "Downloads:" And it should look like this. Link: Step 2: Find your KSP version, the latest version is pretty much 1.10, and I have that version. So I would go underneath it and click on either the zip, or dll. I do not know the differences between them but I just did zip. Step 3: When it downloads, open the location in your files. Find the zip or dll, and open it. Step 4: Now when you open it, you should see a README and a dll. Click the dll and get the GameData folder up. Now, drag the dll into the GameData folder. Step 5: Put the Module Manager dll into the GameData folder, make sure its not in any of the files inside the GameData folder. Step 6: You may now rerun KSP. If anything went wrong or didn't go as planned, please let me know so I can help you out with your problem.

So I have done a lot of stuff with kerbal space program 1 and I want new content Please consider the fact that I am new to modding so if your explanation isnt explained like you are talking to a baby I might ask a lot of questions I tried to install around 15 mods with curseforge, only two of them worked partially . I also installed Kopernicus And Parralax recently but this dosent seem to help I am also very interrested by the mod "Outer planets" and I think it would be awesome if only that one could work
  23. Ok so I got restock and restock waterfall config, deleted my old stock waterfall config. All the rocket engines have their waterfall effects but the rapier, whiplash, panther, goliath, wheesley and juno have not got them. (aka they have their rather ugly stock effects) even if I put back the stock waterfall config file in gamedata the air breathing engines still don't get their waterfall effects applied. anyone know how to fix this? Edit: i dowloaded the lastest stock waterfall config and it worked when i used a whiplash, but rapiers are weird, especially the closed cycle mode, the plume is missing

This is a guide in which I will add about every tip and trick, I find while playing the game! #1 Fairings Say you have a fairing, and you finish it, and it pops up with a message saying "warning: cannot accept current changes. Fairing is colliding with invalid assembly part." So you try and try and try! To get the fairing right, but one of the two keeps happening; 1. You can't do anything without the fairing saying the message or 2. You can get a fairing, but it is not to your liking Well, I have a easy fix for you! 1. Click on any place, then place it back or If you don't want to replace a part on the craft 2. Click on any part on the part picker and recycle it #2 Unable To Timewarp Ever find yourself not being able to timewarp, because you're in "too low of a orbit" So you look it up right? You find that you have to send another craft on the ground, then timewarp? So much work, all you actually have to do, is go to the ksc! then into the tracking station (make sure you go into the tracking station after the ksc. And boom! You can actually use timewarp normally again. #3 How do you delete saves This one is simple, yet I found myself having a hard time with this. All you have to do is: Go to the main menu, then campaigns and finally at the bottom, there is a "delete game" button. Not to be mistaken for the "delete campaign" button. #4 Laggy Debris Ksp 2 makes debris very laggy, and usually well cost you a frame or two for every debris you left in deep space! So for now, I would delete all your debris randomly floating around. This saves a lot of fps, especially if you have more then 10. It saved me a couple, I know that much. #5 Camera getting off centred I have no clue why, but many struggle with this. So what happens, is when you hold down the scroll wheel, and click/drag right click, you offset the camera. The simplest fix is to press the "home" key on your keyboard. I think this confuses people, because in ksp 1, you double click the scroll wheel. Have no idea why they changed it, but hope this helps if you have this problem! #6 Throttle stuck throttling up Has it ever happened to you, you, e.g. press “shift + tab” to open your friends list on steam, this makes your throttle ,throttle up. No clue why, but there is a easy fix. Simply press the “shift” key once. This fixes it, hope this helps, took me awhile to figure out. #7 Struts twisting through the craft This one has been bothering me for a bit, but I finally found a simple fix. For example, you find yourself placing symmetrical structs, but for some reason, they cross through your craft. The fix is to move the camera to the opposite side of the craft, and place them there. #8 Things you shouldn’t ever do! 1. Don’t press “Ctrl + Z” or the undo button, this will break your struts, etc. 2. Don’t “Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V” large crafts (say about 200+ parts) This will actually break the game, idk how to explain it. 3. Refrain from loading a save where your spacecraft is in a landed state. Sometimes you will fall through the surface, I find if this ever happens, you should keep loading back that save until it stops falling through the surface. Keep away from doing this as much as you can. I will add more later!

You try to argue that there is still plenty space on Gael for the population to grow, but they don't respond to your cries. Objective: Develop a colony where Gaeleans can live in comfort, permanently or for extended durations of time. (And also get some cool screenshots ) Points More points = More good! Baseline - Start with 50 points Setup System x2.0 - Rescale GPP to 2.5x x3.0 - Rescale GPP to 10x Varying multiplier depending on what celestial body you establish your colony on: Life Support *Only one of these can be used at a time 2.0x - Used Kerbalism (Reliability recommended to be turned off) 1.9x - Used MKS + USI-LS 1.75x - Used only USI-LS without MKS 2.5x - Used Kerbalism + MKS 1.75x - Used another life support mod (TAC-LS, Snacks, Kerbal Health, etc.) Propulsion/Power *In general, restricted more or less to near future technologies. Nuclear and electric propulsion is fine. KSP-IE is fine when limited to earlier engines. 0.8x - Used antimatter/fusion engines/reactors/Far Future Technologies/black hole drives/etc. 0.8x - Used FTL drives, warp gates, or Blueshift 0.5x - Used obvious unbalanced parts 1.2x - Used no nuclear engines/reactors whilst abiding by the above (good luck lol) In-Game Sustainability Kerbalism 1.5x - Crew can stay indefinitely in the colony, and only "need" to be cycled due to stress 1.25x - Crew can stay in the colony with resupplies of nitrogen/ammonia to grow food every ~20 years (cannot be combined with above) 1.3x - Replaces above if nitrogen/ammonia is shipped from a planet other than Gael 1.1x - Has some way to circumvent part failures (if enabled) +5 - Per comfort (panorama, call home, etc.) +1 - Per 10m3 of habitable and pressurized volume x0.8 - Crew is not adequately protected from space radiation, radioactive parts, and/or space weather x0.8 - Crew needs shipments of food, water and/or oxygen to survive MKS / USI-LS 1.5x - Crew can stay indefinitely in the colony (meaning for the rest of time!) 1.3x - Crew can stay indefinitely in the colony, but requires Machinery shipments (cannot be combined with above) 1.1x - Crew can stay indefinitely with fertilizer shipments (cannot be combined with above) 0.9x - Crew needs to be cycled due to habitation (cannot be combined with above) Other life support mods 1.25x - Crew can stay indefinitely in the colony (meaning for the rest of time!) 1.1x - Mostly self sufficient but requires occasional shipments every ~20 years Crew Capacity +5 - For each Gaelean on board +1 - For each extra seat that is not occupied Base Placement +25 - Place your colony at the highest point on the celestial body +25 - Have the majority of your base submerged or floating in liquid, and the only parts that should touch land are ISRU and an airlock +50 - Place your colony on the seabed of Tarsiss, Tellumo, or Hadrian Other +5 - Fly a big flag! +30 - Have an asteroid, mined or not, be part of your base 1.5x - If you have a mod that increases the size/weight of asteroids to realistic proportions +40 - Produce RocketParts and launch vessels using Extraplanetary Launchpads +20 - If using MKS; where you need MaterialKits and SpecializedParts Challenge Rules -You must use GPP, no GPP secondary -Keep everything at stock balance; if you use RealFuels, turn off realistic masses, leave tank mass the same, and keep engine mass above 3.2 -No usage of Alt F12, HyperEdit, VesselMover etc. unless if it used to fix damage caused by a kraken attack -If you want to use your own patches, make sure they're balanced -Be honest! And most importantly...
