Were you more active on the forums before or after becoming a mod?

I was likely more active on the forums before becoming a moderator.  Now I have a tendency to quietly browse the forum, less likely to post than before.  But I do still comment on posts that I feel I have something worth contributing.

I ran an airplane on a treadmill for ages, but it never did get any thinner.

Roleplaying is just that, roleplaying.   Players take on roles within a group or groups, and act out scenarios.   It becomes a problem when arguments arise and it spills out into the forums.   It got bad enough in the past that we had to just outlaw it completely.

Now, There are "agencies" within mods, but that's not role playing, that's just a modder giving a name to a "publisher".

Okay I think I understand stand it now and I'm deeply sorry about posting this twice I had completely forgot I had posted this here and reposted it in that other area anyways thank you!

Edit: now I can start my own agency since it's not against the rules!

Where does one find the rules for cinematics?

As long as they conform to the rest of the forum rules, it should be fine.   We would consider a cinematic to be scripted, and while any voice actors you have would be technically playing a role, that's not quite the same.

Roleplaying became a problem when players started to feud over rivalries between their made-up countries and rocket businesses. It got way too serious and we ended up having to ban some people over the arguments. So you can make up a pretend company and write up your mission reports and fiction as if it was real, but we do not allow people to "hire" others or fight "wars" and that kind of thing.
