Is Kerbalism support included/planned for this mod? I have a career save with kerbalism and BDB. However, the BDB contracts don't work with kerbalism - e.g., the leo docking contract specifies a 'micrometeorite scan'  to be recovered, however the kerbalism science overhaul doesn't allow this data to be recovered, and the contract can't be completed. Any help would be much appreciated.

You probably need to ask the Kerbalism team. They know how to write compatibility better than the BDB team are likely to. I might consider writing a proper Kerbalism patch at some point, but there's no guarantee and I currently have other projects. It's a complicated mod to provide correct compatibility for.

For right now, if you want to use BDB parts and have proper support for Kerbalism and you don't want to write your own patch, I can only recommend RP-1 - though that lacks most of BDB besides the crew capsules and a few other parts (and I believe some engine models in ROEngines).

BDB + Kerbalism has always been handled by the Kerbalism team. But I don't think that would fix the contracts anyways.

No, I think that is the DECQ Saturn.

I just reported this on the GitHub, but just to make sure others are aware: if you have Better Early Tree installed alongside BDB, some parts can't be unlocked, because they're assigned to a tech node that BET renames. This mostly affects Gemini/Leo parts, but for all I know, there may be others affected.

Some work on the booster skirt and core tank variations

Atlas ABC, Early Atlas D, Later Atlas D and subsequent derivatives, Atlas E/F

Gonna need at least another core tank variant for Atlas III and probably Atlas II and Atlas I (maybe).

Excellent! Glad to see the symmetrical avionics side pods for the A/B/C versions. Is the early Atlas A long skirt variant part of the plan?

Uh maybe but probably not. Completely unique UVs for the core tanks is going to hit texture space quite hard as it is and the early A skirt as opposed to the later one shared with B and C is very niche.

yeah I know thanks. That's why I said the Atlas III variant still needs to be done.

@Zorg Is the OV side mounted payload bay still planned or was that scrapped?

I havent scrapped anything. Are you talking about the scientific passenger pods launched on the side of the base tank? OR the weird flat fairing for OV-1 with side opening doors? (both are planned in any case)

Thank you for the consideration. No problem. Very happy with your other planned upgrades.

Best birthday gift ever!

well, technically mine was yesterday, but I had to work. So perfect timing!

(Is it odd for me to get this excited for booster skirt/core tank variants?)

I keep getting a fatal error upon startup of modulemanager saying something along the lines of "Modular Manager threw an exception. Please check KSP's log for more details". I asked about this quite a long time ago; I think it was @lemon cupthat gave me a file titled something like "BDB_SCFIX" but I no longer have it.
Can I please get another download link for it?

I was mostly talking about the side mounted pod for OV-1, yeah, but I'm glad to hear the actual payload fairing will be coming too.

Some more core tank stuff

Atlas II-AS:

There are some variations on the length of the lox pipe that fall between Atlas II and Atlas D but not sure thats feasible texture space wise unless I can come up with some clever UV trick or something.

Atlas III:

These are all WIP of course and more details and tweaks to come. But as things stand these two plus the four I posted earlier will make up the core tank mesh variations.

Mercury-Titan! (has this been done before?) Perhaps in an alternate timeline where Titan was developed before Atlas. I don't know, that's my slap-on explanation. I'm not sure if there was a better fuel tank for the transition between 1.25m and 1.5m, but at my current spot in the tech tree, the Thor tank was the best I had. Apologies for the bland camera work, it is difficult to get a good angle when focusing on controlling the rocket.

Here's some more screenshots from a separate flight with Algol SRBs. I originally had the problem of lacking DeltaV, before I realized the fuel switch on aforementioned Thor tank was fueled with Kerolox instead of Hypergolic fuel which the LR91 engine uses. 5 attempts at an orbit contract and roughly 80k funds were dumped into a rocket carrying 2.3 tons of dead weight in place of much-needed fuel.

Yeah, but mine didn't have boosters. Pure Titan 1.

Boosters look pretty dang cool, though.

Titan I and Atlas A were congruent developments.   Doing this was a "Belt and Braces" approach to improve the chances ONE of the two rockets could lift the early AVCO "shapes."

Atlas had a higher payload fraction and was simpler, which is why it was the first orbital launch and not Titan I (Titan I is much heavier so it has a lower fuel fraction which means it doesn't lift as much as far as Atlas.)

Also, Titan I engines are Kerolox!  You used Titan II/III/IV engines if you had the thor tank's fuel switch wrong

Is Atlas V going to get a revamp as well?(i.e. new textures for CCB and SRBs, and possibly centaur forward load reactor if you have time)
