Looks like there's more activity here than the rest of the KSP2 forum. This "only positivity allowed" direction the world is taking is bizarre and dystopian. I mean, the currently top commented threads in the KSP2 subforum are "where's the communications we were promised", "let's all stop freaking out" and a locked thread in regards to refunds. I'd hardly say it's binary positive/negative, it has more to do with the relevance of thread content. It's become quite common that ALL threads regardless of their topic spiral into KSP2 hate, and while I of course am disappointed in it, I recognize that this trend is leaving little room for alternative discourse. Which is what is frustrating a lot of forum members! But it's hard to differentiate displeasure with the game's current state from genuine feedback about any given topic related to gameplay, which awkwardly enough tends to gravitate INTO that same displeasure as people run into critical bugs and become fed up with the game. Alpha_star
Just played KSP2 and done a Mun mission with a simple rocket based on the PT Mun explorer in KSP1. No bugs, not even the orbital decay and the terrain collider gone bug, ZERO issues during my gameplay. The framerate was also stable during the entire mission, 60 FPS all the way except when staging and touching down. Seems like the game has gone better. (Not defending it, but I am sure having fun in this game despite what some would claim.)

Landinglegs and undocking are sometimes quirky but no problem to work around a bit. I see no sense in critizing an early access software which is in such a good state really. All the core mechanics work as intended, no graphic glitches, high framerate even with several hundred parts at launch as i have proofed myself yesterday in missionreports. Going EVA is smooth and magboots are a funny addition to the game no one talks about.
stephensmat
The only thing this game is lacking for me now is Direction. I'm waiting for Science mode, and part of me thinks the 'news' at "Space Creator Day" is going to be about that. They wouldn't wait an extra week, for a live show, for another incremental bugfix. It's cuz the people who are playing are busy playing instead of repeating the same arguments over and over knowing the other side won't listen anyway. And since every single thread turns into a hate river... (You could make one about magboots, in few hours there would be someone "so this is the only new thing that KSP2 has? All that for $70? It's a joke" so there's little point in doing that)

Time is limited and I have tons of other games to play and finish (trying to reduce that pile of shame) I boot up Kerbals whenever I have an inspiration to try something, fiddle with it for a bit and head back elsewhere. Just like with any other games with open ending really. I stopped religiously playing things long ago because it leads to quick burn out. As for my activity here, it's very limited compared to pre-release period. Mostly because once I can't get my point across, I stop bothering. (Not defending it, but I am sure having fun in this game despite what some would claim.) To be fair that is a lot of my experience with the game, it works (for the most part) it's just sorely, sorely lacking meaningful content. There's no disputing that bugs have been getting squashed, the game has been getting increasingly stable but nothing of meaning has been added to the game. Not even the 'just after release' re-entry heating and effects and we really, really need to get the joint issue sorted out, even if it's just a temporary stop-gap solution at this point. I think if Science and Progression are added before the end of the year, there's still hope. But re-entry heating and such should really be here now, or in the next patch (but again therein lies the 'lack of communication' thing, no-one has said a thing about the next patch except Dakota with their incredibly vague 'new stuff' over a month ago). Tonight though, I'm going to load the game up, make a high endurance aircraft and go out and explore Kerbin. Never really done that to date in the second game and from Low Orbit there looks to be a significant improvement in terrain quality and diversity, so I'm going out to have a look at some of that and maybe fly up-to the pole as well. I have tried it out twice and I have to say together they just make the game much better. Take the orbital decay issue for example, which happens only when you slow down from timewarp and does not happen without changing the speed of time. And the performance is also better for me, from around 55 FPS to mostly 60+. However, I do feel you that they need to add reentry fast. FAST! We want features! This is not a full-fledged feature, it is a realistic limitation in the game that will require better mission planning. Well, there are a lot of bugs associated with this. It’s like if you add the need to eat and sleep into cyberpunk - there will be new animations, but it’s hard to call it interesting content, just boring planning. Bringing asteroids back into the game would be a full-fledged feature, since you can do a lot of new things with asteroids. But it seems they haven’t even started doing this. Well, if you consider the asteroids in the CGI trailer to be part of the game, then of course they started. But considering that Nate announced and posted a video about the fact that plasma in the editor is painted in different colors on different planets, and there was nothing about asteroids, I will use a scientific approach and assume that the invisible Russell teapot does not exist in space until someone won't show it to me. You don't think their approach on communication to their small community of early adopters, in an Early Access format just outright sucks and should realistically be better...? You genuinely believe Intercept Games is effectively communicating?

PDCWolf
Add 3 lines of code and 2 clay renders to every promised feature The game is literally fully featured, we're literally working on everything and there is "proof" ???? Profit. Also we can't really be 8 months into this mess and still be expecting people to take what they say and even show, at face value, there's gotta be like 5 people left who do that at all. I'm guessing there's 10-50 people who still do that. The number will either drop or rise depending on what the game does but as of now its probably dropping. Spoiler I used to take what they said at face value until it took SO long for major bugs to be fixed and ANY new features to be added. 3 hours ago, The Aziz said: Not fully related but that asteroid looks off. I'm guessing that's due to the lack of boulders or any other features then craters. Along with its very spheroid shape.
