  1. The potato is unaffected by the rickroll. @TwoCalories wins! Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!
  2. Floor 4444: You gape in awe at the meta-ness of this all. As you prepare to say something profound, everything goes blank and an unseen speaker says, "Error 4444. Meta-Floor not found."
  3. Even if it's not their 'eyes' kerbals in a pod would still be able to map out a surface, Apollo-style, through photographs from handheld cameras.
  4. I love it! I think it's still an SSTO if parts explode, it's technically disqualified if something is detached with dedicated parts on purpose by the player.
  5. This is the mission badge for my upcoming CERES mission. A stylized head-on version of the station is shown zooming out of the distance, with Dres alongside it. The star behind it doubles as the flare from CERES' overpowered interplanetary tug. I would have filled the outer circle with crew names but I haven't picked a crew yet and making the text curve to the circle in Paint 3D means aligning each letter by hand, which was hard enough for writing 'CERES.'
  6. Like I said, obsessed. F-16 Fighting Falcon "Can't exactly be so good at missions with lower visibility."
  7. It would be great if they also told where you'd impact the planet's surface accounting for its rotation, like the impact marker from KER. Even better would be one that accounts for atmospheric drag and lift, like Trajectories. The ability to see your velocity at impact should apply to anywhere in your orbit- when you mouse over the orbit line it tells how fast you will be going there. It would be good for estimating maneuvers or knowing when aerobraking will be too deadly.
  8. What gave you that idea? F-22 Raptor "The only thing you've ever killed as a 'fighter' jet was your pilots."
  9. B-2 Spirit "You can't reach your target if the enemy spots you first, which it will!"
  10. It's during the Detach scene. Skip to 2:35. I modified the lines a bit, but you probably guessed that already. I think when CASE is flying the Lander down on Mann's Planet Cooper merely warns him about flying too fast. That's just a bit before Mann throws away his long-range transmitter.
  11. "OK, MechJeb, nice reckless flying." "Learned from my programmer."
  12. Somehow, the spelling of "KASE" looks better than "CASE." I think that's the kerbal within me saying 'Add a K to every word to make it better.'
  13. What mods are you using to be able to see the planets from Kerbin like that?
  14. Going Off The Rails On A Crazy Train (Of Gravity Assists) Arriving at Jool was not easy. A simple retroburn would use thousands of dv that I couldn't spare, so a Tylo gravity assist was in order. I set one up, although I wasn't completely happy with it, and then spent the next several hours in the Jool system trying to get a perfect sequence that would allow me to retroburn at Laythe easily. Long story short, I failed, and I loaded an earlier quicksave before I was in the Jool SOI to set things right. While fiddling with the maneuver node, I came across a path that did exactly what I wanted it to do. Any slight difference in how I tweaked the node and I might never have discovered this. Assist from Tylo, assist from Laythe, small inclination change, then encounter Laythe again after just one orbit, and spend minimum fuel to get to Laythe orbit. Jeb is ready to conquer Laythe... Coming up next on Journey of the Avocado: Laythe Landing!
  15. I just meant that even when the higher-ups know, this kind of thing is still left as ambiguous as possible to the viewers to build tension. Good point. I simply overlooked that, sorry. Kerbin in the background, the Mun in the foreground, and a star on the surface representing the location of the anomaly. Also, the sans-serif gold lettering on dark grey reminds me of the names on CASE and TARS. The fact that it says "KASE" only further strengthens this connection.
  16. Floor 4442: A wormhole. As you observe it, you suddenly understand why it warps light like that. Before you can tell anyone, someone pushes you in and it turns out it leads to the next floor.
  17. Convair F2Y Sea Dart "Who needs an aircraft carrier to land on water? Oh wait, you do, ha!"
