Keep going and find out.

But seriously, we have a rule against harassing staff.    So if a member would intentionally be harassing or annoying a mod, then we’d handle it in our usual fashion.  If it gets really bad, we’ll usually involve the CMs, but if we get to that point, that person’s time here is limited.

What @Gargamel said.  ;)

It's worth noting that a primary job requirement of moderators is that we are not easily annoyed.  A thick skin is needed to do this job, and we're very picky about the type of person we invite onto the team-- being unflappable is important.

So, if a user just happens to have a really abrasive style, and they're rude or obnoxious to us in private (e.g. PMs to moderators), then as long as it doesn't rise to the level of actual threats or harassment, mostly it's no skin off our nose and we let them vent.  (There's a good reason for that:  We get a fair number of angry PMs, and we're okay with that.  Few people like getting moderated, and it's not uncommon for us to receive irate feedback about our actions or inaction.  We try to give people latitude in such private communication, because we should welcome feedback, to help keep us honest and make sure we're doing our job well.  So as long as a person's not being threatening or engaging in harassing behavior, we try to cut them a lot of slack.)

Users who engage in inappropriate behavior in public, on the other hand (such as openly contesting moderation) are subject to appropriate consequences.  But in such cases, it's because they broke the forum rules, not because they annoyed us personally.

"Never moderate angry."  It's a pretty important principle we follow.  We make a point of using the forum rules as our yardstick, not our personal feelings.  (We are only human, though, so please don't push it, okay?)  ;)

What happens if I've made a new forums account because I haven't been able to access my old one for sometime?

Each person may only have one account, so we'd need to merge them. Would you like to keep the new name or the old one?

1969

1st January 1970! That's the beginning of the Unix Epoch.

In Unix and Unix-like systems (like Linux), time is represented by the amount of seconds that have elapsed since January 1st, 1970. The forums are probably hosted on a computer running Linux (like 98% of the websites in the world).
If the "date" data of a thread is set to 0, that means, for the system, that it has been created exactly on January 1st, 1970. This "date reset" can happen because of bugs, data corruption, or that sort of things. I'm pretty sure that these threads can't be accessed, and that they are all that remains of the past forum catastrophes (like the one in 2012 or 2013).

So, all these threads are probably corrupted or bugged references to now-inexistant threads.

Close enough.

Newer forums members probably aren’t aware that the forums have undergone a few engine changes since its inception.   In migrating from one forum database to another, some threads lost their date information.

Instead of letting the forum crash or displaying weird junky data (NULL?), the new engine assigns Bad date data a value of -1, which in UNIX time corresponds to one second before midnight on December 31, 1969.

As clearly nobody that currently uses the internet could be alive that long ago, it’s just an indicator that some data was lost.

It looks like this thread has been mostly deleted by one of the moderators, with no reason listed. All that remains of the OP is "[Withdrawn.]"

The craft that were shown here are still up on KerbalX, but the images are all broken.

Did something happen to Raptor9? Why was this thread deleted? This used to be a really popular and helpful thread - even after it was locked, I still browsed it for inspiration for my own designs.

EDIT: Actually, it only looks like a few of the craft are still on KerbalX.

So sorry to hear that @adsii1970 doesn't use the internet anymore. Rest in peace king, you will be missed. ;.;
