I developed some ICBMs, some of which went far and some of which didn't. I'm considering having an overclocked firework inside the warhead to get a big "explosion" upon "landing."

Journey of the Avocado- a Jool 5 Mission!
Kimera Industries replied to Kimera Industries's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Want Some Chips With That? One last module is needed: the lander. The Guac can land on all of Jool's moons, (excluding Laythe but that's why we have a dedicated plane), and lands on Tylo by ditching its fuel tanks. As a result, I'll have to land on Bop, Pol, and Vall before Tylo, but I can only refuel it once. This is going to be hard interesting. Now it's time for that process I love and enjoy: docking at 5 FPS. After this, there'll be a mission to top off the tanks, because *surprise* dozens of RCS blocks gobble up monopropellant like there's no tomorrow. I love how that last pic is of them about to crash into the VAB.

Gotta wonder why they didn't remove that last 3%... One of the craziest things about Project Orion is that they made it so far as a working model. (But with conventional explosives, of course, so it's fine.) -

If you were the first person on mars, what would you say?
Kimera Industries replied to KleptoKat's topic in Forum Games!
"Hey, guys! Remember how people were worried you would sink into lunar dust and it turned out it was no problem? I finally proved it can happen! On Mars, at least..." -

Most likely an easter egg. I think having a ton of kerbals scurrying around the floor of the VAB would cause a hit in performance, and if not, I'm sure we all know how often they end up clipped inside of each other or inside of your ship.

Granted, but there's no longer any reason to. It becomes a useless skill. I wish it would snow where I live. -

"So you know how we were supposed to land next to the HAB? Well, suppose one was a little off course... Look at it this way, we won't have to walk to get to it." -

The Ultimate Jool 5 Challenge Continued
Kimera Industries replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I did not. The most recent, not deleted quicksave was the one that was accidentally loaded. Yeah. I just learned that the hard way. I just learned that too. That really should be fixed. -

Granted, but the sight of such a scene blinds you. I wish I knew what was going on, all the time. -
The Brain Freeze And the Voyage of VICCTER: An Elcano Rover Some time ago, I was thinking of some mission ideas in KSP. Then it hit me: Minmus is ice cream. If an ice cream store were there, it would have unlimited resources. And so came The Brain Freeze: A state-of-the-art ice cream making facility, for Minmus! And an Elcano rover that happened to be in the same save. The Brain Freeze has landed! Now it's time... for dessert! In theory, someday the crew will return. Until then, their landing site would be the focus of a voyage never before accomplished by our space agency: an Elcano. Elcano is where you circumnavigate a celestial body by either land or sea. It's very hard, and I figured Minmus would be a good starting point, as it is small and very flat. But you can't do an Elcano if you don't have a rover there, so it was time to launch BERT. VICCTER is now ready for a grand undertaking. Now it just needs to be driven... ...If I ever get around to it.

Journey of the Avocado- a Jool 5 Mission!
Kimera Industries replied to Kimera Industries's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Trapped In A Tin Can Next up was the crew module. I could have launched the crew later, but the whole docking process is very slow, and I need to complete this mission before the end of this year. So I launched the crew with the crew module itself, because I can. "I believe this nation should commit itself, before this year is out, of landing a kerbal on all of Jool's moons and returning him safely to Kerbin." *Aide whispers frantically in ear* "Of landing a kerbal on all of Jool's moons." A crew of 6 was launched with this module, and another one will be launched with the lander, for a total of 7. Well, these kerbals better have brought some great games with them, because they will be stuck in their two modules for a very, very long time. Oh wait, all they have to do is bring KSP with them and time will pass by in an instant... Coming up next on Journey of the Avocado: The "Guac" Lander!- 33 replies

The Sky is Not the Limit - UPDATE: NEW THREAD OUT!
Kimera Industries replied to TwoCalories's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
This is awesome! I am a bit of a vexillology nerd, and I can say, this... this is perfection. Keep it simple: check Use meaningful symbolism: check Use 3 or 4 basic colors: check No lettering or seals: Normally, words on a flag are bad news, but in this case, I will let it slide, since it's so tastefully done and this is more of a seal/logo anyway. Be distinctive or be related: check (Adapted from the Good Flag, Bad Flag guidelines) All the threads I'm following are getting new logos... perhaps I should continue the trend.- 217 replies
